09/03/2016 - USE THE PRECIOUS STONE

A present is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor; wherever he turns, he prospers.   Proverbs 17:8

One of the most productive attitudes is the act of giving presents, interceding to God in favor of the person who offended or caused you some harm. Because they have become your enemy, they will be considered the Lord´s enemy too. This was one of the promises made to Abraham ( Gen 12:3), and since we are heirs of all that has been promised to the patriarch of the Hebrews, we are also in regards to those that are used by the enemy to cause us any sort of loss.

Now, what you do in benefit of those that have harmed you will come back to you, for the act of forgiving is one of the most noble and rewarding that man can fulfill. Besides, when you forgive, you fulfill a precept that would prevent you from being forgiven of your offenses if it had not been done (Mark 11:25-26). Therefore, if someone sinned against you, pray for that person, rebuke them, and if they repent, you must forgive them.

You prayer in favor of the offender will be like a magic stone, for he will open his eyes regarding you and will do you good. It is evident that intercession is beneficial for those that make use of it. However, there are limits for us to act towards the person that affected us in some way, just like Jesus taught us in Matthew 18:15-18. The purpose is to help the one who caused you some harm to not get lost in error and to turn back to the Lord.

Invest what you can in time, anointment, and financial resources for those that are deviated and lost to be saved, because when Christ comes back, the reward will be great. As to the brother in faith that continues to practice what is not right and they become a hindrance to the salvation of other people, give them a greater discipline. Rebuke will be a blessing to those that transgress the commandment, as long as it is done in accordance to the biblical conditions.

God´s work in the New Testament is different from the one that took place in the Old Covenant, when salvation had not yet been provided, and because of that, the people of God had difficulty looking at His glory (2 Cor 3:7). We have to be hopeful until the very last minute and slow to anger, so that we don’t give room to the kingdom of darkness. We must fight in order to rapture other people from the eternal fire.

Do not exceed in the rebuke, so that you don’t destroy the faith that is left in those that were not vigilant and let themselves be led by the devil. It is useless to hate a person that was used to attack you, for the enemy saw in that person someone ideal to be an extension of his wickedness and he wishes to find in you an opportunity to finish his destructive work. Allow yourself to be guided by the Holy Spirit through the Word and you will become blameless.

With the precious stone in your hands, wherever you go, God will do His work and you will prosper. To do good is very beneficial; that is why we must be wise and never allow the devil to think that we are an ally of his. It hurts to be struck with no reason whatsoever, but it is much more pleasant to be rewarded by the Lord, for He is simply the Almighty One.

In Christ, with love,

Author of salvation! We have not realized the danger we are facing when we walk according to the flesh, because even though offended, it is not worth to wait for someone to be harmed, and thus, lose the reward offered.

We need to send presents to those that offend, harm or bother us. We must not withhold anyone´s sin or keep in our memories the offenses of those who were used by the devil. Lead us to forgive at all times.

Thank You for teaching us to help people. We have to follow Your plan, forgiving those who hurt us and lead them to love You and to acknowledge that that is the most excellent plan that they can walk through.
