Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. Joshua 1:3

If 40 years earlier, the people of Israel had obeyed the Lord, who had taken them to the mountainous region of the Amorites, and laid hold of the Promised Land, they would not have had to face the difficult battle to conquer it.  Those who do not follow the full will of the Lord are permissive in their ways and the battle is therefore arduous.  This is an example of what happens to people when they refuse to obey God.  Do as the Word ordered you to!

The Lord had told Joshua that the conquest of Canaan depended exclusively on him.  The land where they would place the soles of their feet would be theirs.  Likewise, the promises and declarations that the Almighty pronounces in His Word are ours, but we have to believe in order to lay hold of them.  If we just cross our arms, nothing will be done.  The brave fight, as the Scriptures say, and because they fight they conquer the Kingdom of God (Luke 16:16). 

In the same way, Jesus spoke to the disciples, and by extension spoke to us too, that we have to determine our rights, and claim them (John 14:13), and then, His work will be done unto us.  However, if we are not bold to lay hold of what is ours, we will not take possession of it.  We do not have to convince the Lord to heal, deliver or give us the needed result.  We must believe and proceed in our faith in Christ, and this way we will be successful.

To conquer your territory is dependent on your attitudes.  If you deceive yourself with the enemy, thinking it to be hard to act on faith, your problem will persist.  Then, no matter how hard you try, you will not receive the solution from God and will have to seek the assistance of man.  This is not always the best way to help, and often time things get even worse.  God has spoken to us through His word, in order to equip us always to win.  Act according to the Scriptures.  

The business man who practices the Word must remember this: the meetings to drum up motivation will not make them able to defeat the power of the devil, who wants to render them bankrupt, and in poverty; but only a firm attitude in the directions which the Almighty has said can be of help.  Thus they can be very blessed.  There is no way that the devil can prevent a child of God from claiming what is theirs by right, if they follow the instructions of the heavenly Father.  The Lord is faithful!

David would not have obtained success had he come to make peace with his enemies.  In fact, he fought, defeated them all and maid them pay taxes to his kingdom.  The Lord said the following: I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will (Acts 13:22b).  This is exactly what the Almighty expects from those who serve Him. Otherwise, such person will not be remembered by Him as someone after His own heart. Examine how you have behaved regarding what Jesus did in favor of mankind.

Live according to the heart of the Almighty, starting now to seek total sanctification of your life, and tomorrow the Lord will perform wonders and marvels in your life. Don’t fool yourself or be deceived by the devil’s lies, but strengthen yourself in God obeying His commands.  Those who obey the Most High will not stumble on the way.
