And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Luke 2:9

Various special and phenomenal events surrounded the coming of the Savior to the world, but only a few of them were revealed.  Even not knowing the details of God’s plan for us to come into the eternal Kingdom of Jesus, it was a great work, with many deeds that could only be carried out by Him who is completely perfect.  No doubt, the Father expects much more from us than that which we have already done for Him.

The works of the Almighty are uncountable and all have significance and meaning.  The enlightenment of your soul to be a part of them, the understanding that was given for you to be led to salvation and the zeal for faith are some of the deeds that the Lord has performed miraculously.  Do not slight what He has for your life, because it is all much more than you can fathom, understand or realize.

That night, an angel from God appeared to the shepherds in the field, with the most significantly important news of all times.  How often and how many times has the Almighty interceded in your favor, in a phenomenal way, and you did not even realize how you were spared from great suffering or even an accident, for example?  No doubt, if the Lord’s hand were not guarding you, you would not be reading this message now.  His plan for you is much greater than you were told.

The band of shepherds from Bethlehem were involved by the glory of the Almighty and surely felt very well.  In moments such as these, some allow themselves to be taught by God and consequently profit and enjoy from the best of Him.  Others however, are hardened in their sin and incredulity and resist understanding and discerning spiritual matters.  The Lord blesses you according to the way that you lend ears to the Word; so, be always receptive to the revelations of the Scriptures.

Some people are resistant to God’s calling, even though certain that they were visited by Him.  Their motives for this attitude can be many, and in certain cases are sinful and evil desires that took over their hearts and from bad to worse they march towards eternal destruction.  Others, however, are wise and welcome the Lord’s deeds of love, and with this they move on from glory to glory.  Understand one thing: it is essential to examine your attitude in relation to the Creator.

You can identify if something comes from God or from the devil by things that surround you.  The shepherds had a glow and their hearts rejoiced as they contemplated divine glory.  However, in case they were filled with fear or sadness, they would withdraw from such experience.  Be on alert not to accept what comes from the enemy or to say that with you things have to be in a certain way.  You will suffer greatly if you disdain the revelation from Above. 

At the same time they felt great joy, they experienced great fear – respect.  Every visitation from Heaven will increase your respect for the Lord and transform your life.  If a spiritual experience does not increase your love for Jesus and improve your life you must rebuke and reject it.  God only has good things to do for you, therefore, seek to love Him more.
