Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance. Romans 5.3

As saved ones, we are different from other people. They boast themselves of good and pleasant things, but get desperate − and some get aggressive − when they go through any trial. The saved ones, however, boast themselves both of God’s glory, when He visits them and covers them, as well as during sufferings. This is because, as we have the Holy Spirit in us, no matter what happens around us, we are always conquerors (Rom 8.31-39).

Believers who are not at this spiritual level don’t enjoy everything that is available for those who walk into perfection. For those mature in faith, it doesn’t matter how or the way the live, as they know that either in plenty or want; in all these things we are more than conquerors (Rom 8.37). Then, those who live in fullness of faith know that nothing can reach them (Ps 91.37).

What kind of believer have you been then? Examine yourself and see if you are still in faith. Don’t be deceived; we can have the same things that the men who served God in past had. If we are thrown in a 7-time-burning furnace, neither one hair of ours will be burnt. If in the lions’ den, their mouth will be closed (Dan 3.8.27; 6.15-23).

If the Lord is our refuge and strength, as well as ever-present help in trouble (Sl 46.1), why do we get desperate and widely open our mouth to speak up a stream of mourning from inside? Well, the mouth speaks out that which is in the heart (Luke 6.45); so, if we in fact belong to God, why do we let our hearts get full of fear, cowardness and evil to offend the Holy Spirit that dwells in us?

Tribulation is only allowed in our lives for our own good. When we get in a fight, we come out of it stronger, richer and anointed because it’s during hard times that we gain more patience and prepared for bigger works and accomplishments that will glorify our Lord. The Almighty has much more for you; that’s why He prepares you to take possession of higher things.

Therefore, face tribulation as a golden opportunity you are offered to show who you have truly believed in. Society, family and friends and the church will be benefited if you pass the trial when you go through it (James 1.2-4,12). With more experience, patience and divine virtue in your life, the light of the Lord will shine stronger for the one who is confused. God has raised you to be a blessing.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Dear God and Father, thank you for your Word that makes things clear, enlightens and strengthens us so that we don't displease you and bring shame on your work. Our faith must be more steady and perfect when coming out from the tribulation than when the evil attacked us.

In Your wisdom, you have let us go through trials. Our flesh doesn't like it, but, with your permission, the trial will be just a way to teach us and keep us under your holy care.

Therefore, I now pray for my brethren who have been lost in complaints, disobedience and defeat. God! Raise them to enjoy what you have prepared for them! I pray for none of them to fail.
