Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. 1 Peter 2.6

God’s declarations, commandments, and promises find the right destination in those who believe in His Word. Everything in the Bible is about these people. Those who are wise desire to please the Almighty, fulfill their mission and enjoy what is rightfully theirs. Therefore, whenever you understand something from the Word, take hold of it immediately.

Jesus said that we must examine the Scriptures, for they contain eternal life and testify about Him (Jo 5.39). In fact, they also testify about us. If we believe in what the Word says about our rights and obligations, we will be successful in the walk of faith if we fulfill them. However, if we do not listen to what the Omnipotent says about us and tells us to do, we will be considered rebels and wicked people.

It was God’s will to put in Zion the chief cornerstone, elect, precious. There is no possibility that there may be another one, even if it is a bit smaller than Jesus. He is the Foundation of our faith, and there is no other. Those who deposit their trust in saints or prophets from other religions will conclude, in the end, that they were completely wrong, and then there will be no more possibility for salvation.

One fact that we must never forget is that since we believe in God, we will never be put to shame. We may go through trials, and sometimes, everything may seem to show that we will not be answered. However, if we persevere in the Word, our God will operate in our favor much sooner than we expect. Take hold of everything that you find in the Bible that concerns you, because then, you will not be deceived.

David said that the patriarchs of the Israelites trusted in the Most High and were set free by Him. There were some times in which it seemed impossible, but the eternal God always entered in action and didn’t allow them to be deceived. It will happen the same today to those who believe in the cornerstone, Jesus, for He was appointed as our Deliverer, and He will never fail in His mission.

There is no possibility that those who listened to God are put to shame. After all, if they wait in the Lord, their battle becomes the heavenly Father’s battle. Since the Most High is a Man of War (Exodus 15.3), and never loses any battle, they will be helped at the right moment. Now, those who transgress without a cause will never be successful in their prayers, since they deny He who rescued them from sin by continuing to sin.

Call upon God now, asking Him to change your life completely, and you will see that He is faithful to His promises. Those who look to the face of Christ – the revelation of the Word – are enlightened, and therefore, will not be deceived. How about starting a new life of faith and obedience to God’s commandments right now?

In Christ, with love,

Father! When You laid in Zion the chief cornerstone, salvation came to us. Then, the devil cried and wailed, and You solved our problems forever. Filled with joy, we thank You.

May the elect and precious Stone never leave our hearts. Thus, we will walk in the light of Your truth. Therefore, iniquity, perversity, and the works of the enemy will never come back to torment us. We have complete deliverance in You.

Whoever believes in what You reveal will be freed forever. We will not be deceived at all; after all, once redeemed, there is no reason why we should give up and be filled with grief or pain. We are Yours, and Jesus, our beloved Savior, will help us to surrender to You our praise.
