These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15.11

For those who are not familiar with the Word of God, having encounters with Jesus may sound something mystical. You may expect that at any moment, Christ will enter your room and manifest to you. Though it is true that the Savior can do this, no one should put their faith in the fact that He will do so, for the manifestation that was promised by Jesus was through the revelation of the Word. When this happens, what He tells us already belongs to us, and we only need to take hold of the promises.

It is likely that you may have lost infinite encounters with the Master for not knowing about this truth. But now, it is time to prepare to have other encounters. The Lord’s holy lips said about this possibility, when He affirmed that it will happen so when you fulfill His commandments. When you do what He tells, you prove that you love Him and in turn, you are loved by God and by Jesus, who will undoubtedly manifest Himself to you (Jo 14.21).

Man’s heart rejoices when he feels that God is visiting him. It is something that nobody has ever felt before and has nothing to do with the natural joy of when something good happens to you or you receive good news. But reflect on the following fact: why would Jesus manifest Himself to you, pleasing your heart, but not answering to your requests? In the days of His earthly ministry, the Master never avoided helping someone who asked Him for help.

This verse from John 15, which we are studying, teaches that the reason for Jesus’s joy to remain in us is so that our joy is made full.  The secret is to be in the Savior and His words to be in us. Therefore, everything that we ask for – and determine – will be done by the Lord Himself. How will someone’s joy be complete if he is not attended in his needs through the operation of the Most High?

Certainly, if you are in pain, with financial or familiar problems, or any other problems, and if you determine that they might be solved and it does not happen, your joy will not be full. There is no need to wait “until God wishes” in order to obtain the solution to your problems. When He visits you, your heart will rejoice, and at that moment, you are authorized to determine whatever you want, and it will be given to you.

What will you do now? Will you rejoice with what the Most High has revealed and still will not act? Thus, your joy will not be full, and the devil will do all he can to keep you under his action, with oppression and heaviness. However, be strong, bold, and demand the enemy to take away his claws from your life. With the joy of the Lord, you are authorized to do what the Word guarantees you. Therefore, as you feel joy, go to “war”, demanding your blessing.

Attend to what the Word declares, for it is time to wake up and be enlightened by the Master (Pv 5.1). Know that your rights will be always honored if you honor the Most High, who speaks about them. Leave the world of the dead; you have already been raised! Why not rise and take hold of everything that belongs to you? God will honor you!

In Christ, with love,

God of the living! Why should we not believe in You, the One who never leads us into mistake? If You tell us to awake, we must do so. Many times, our sleep is more profound than we think. But help us to wake up in order to honor You.

We cannot act like those who have not yet been raised in Christ. For them, the Word makes no sense, for they are dead in their trespasses and sins, and know nothing about the world of the living. However, we are living to assume our rights in You.

We need You to enlighten us, showing us how to behave. Our joy cannot be hindered if we fulfill Your commandments. We must be a complete blessing, since in such a way, we will prove that You have given us all in Christ, our Lord.
