23/05/2015 - WHAT HAS GOD MADE YOU FOR?

As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; Romans 4.17

After salvation, it is important to know that we have been made participants of the Kingdom of God. Certainly, the Lord did not call us to “sit on our faith”, but to fulfill His commandments. Therefore, He made us kings and priests, heirs and ambassadors of Christ (Rv 1.6; 2 Co 5.20). Our mission is enormous, noble, and precious. Therefore, we cannot be in sin. With a royal dignity, He waits us to serve Him in an unblemished way.

This happened to Abraham, since he believed in the Lord God. He was involved by the divine holiness, for his act of believing was considered as righteousness (Rm 4.3). The same thing can happen to you as well, since to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness (v.5). If you believe in what the Father says, you will reach the right measure of faith, and He will be able to fulfill what He has promised (Ep 4.13).

The greatest tragedy for a person is not to believe in what the Most High says. Most people guarantee that they believe, but this is just a mental assent, while at the same time, they act as if He were completely absent from their lives, being opened to demonic operations. Therefore, decide to believe – doing what is indicated in the Word – and see that the Lord will never leave unaccomplished what He declared concerning you.

If Abraham had not decided to believe in what God told him, he would not have been the father of a great multitude. On the natural side, this seemed impossible. He knew that his body was old, and that his wife, Sarah, was old and barren. However, when he believed in God, he was vivified. The blessing reached by him was not only for Isaac to become his son, but extended even after Sarah died, when he married again with 137 years.

Keturah, Abraham’s new wife, must have been young, for she had six sons, without counting the daughters that are not mentioned in the Bible. Besides, Abraham had even more sons with his concubines (Gen 25.1-6). Still today, God vivifies the dead, or those who are weak. There is no reason for anyone to “throw the towel” and confess that his time has already passed, for if it is the Lord’s plan and the person has faith, he can be certain that the divine power will operate in his favor.

It is important to note that the Most High affirmed that He calls to existence the things that do not exist. Someone may say that this is obvious, because He is God, and therefore, has the power to accomplish anything. However, when He reveals us this fact, the Lord is saying that we are also able to do the same. Jesus said that He only was able to do anything – calling it to existence – if He saw the Father also doing it (Jo 5.19). It is necessary to listen and see what He does.

We cannot play with faith, for we are ordered to do the same works that Jesus did (Jo 14.12). This is a commandment, so if you do not want to have problems in the Day of Judgment, decide to put your faith into action. Whoever believes does not measure difficulties, but finds solutions.

In Christ, with love,

Super fantastic God! One thing we need to know, and that is why we are here in prayer. In the Name of Jesus, make us understand what is our mission in Your Kingdom, what were we made for, for we want to make You glad always. Therefore, help us to believe in Your great works.

Our walk of faith must always be a reason of joy for You, and not of our shame. We desire to fulfill Your plans for our life, and therefore, we cannot look to the natural side of things, for You are the Life of all our beings.

You give life to the dead, You give life to our weakened parts and You bring to existence things that do not exist. You can also make our dreams and our strength be like before; therefore, we will be able to do Your will without anything hindering us.
