The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide.

Psalm 37:31

The advantages of being a righteous man are many. First, those who are righteous have the Word of God, which guarantees complete access to God’s promises – the Promised Land (Ps. 37:29). Second, the righteous will inhabit the earth forever. Therefore, by possessing everything the Lord has promised, the righteous wont have any problems all of their days; for when they are attacked by any malign forces, their light will shine brighter, and Christ will defeat all evil on their behalf.

The Lord God declared that the righteous shall enjoy His promises. But how can someone know if they are righteous? The answer is: from everything that comes from their mouth. Christians who repeat every word the wicked say, or lose their temper and criticize others all the time, show that they are not righteous.  The righteous always act according to the Scriptures, and to what they have learned from the Lord’s revealed Word, and they glorify the Most High all time.

We must remain vigilant so we are not fooled by those who pretend to be sons of God. The truth is that people who don’t respect the divine voice cant fool us for a long time. Even if they pretend to be spiritual people, what comes from their mouth is never correct. If we let them, these “sons of God” are capable of speaking obscenities, gossiping and many other things that cause those who really fear the Lord to be ashamed.

On the other hand, the mouth of the righteous speaks of what is right, for it speaks according to the Scriptures. And for the same reason, whenever the righteous gives his opinion, he blesses others. The wicked, which don’t walk according to the ways of the Lord, can’t transmit divine messages to a needy heart, even if they try really hard. Their words make things even worse, for they say only what the enemy wants them to say.

What makes people righteous or wicked is their attitude towards what’s written in the Bible. The wicked are careless, but the righteous keep the Word inside their heart; therefore they do not sin, even if they are under strong temptations. When we respect what the Lord most high declares, we bless ourselves, we bless others and we also become qualified to be used by the Lord as ministers of the New Testament. This is the kind of people that God wants to use.

The ways of the righteous shall never fail; this means that your prayers will be answered and that the divine power shall fulfill its promises for you. The righteous feel pleasure in doing what the Lord ordains, for they know that the Word will never fail, even if heaven and earth pass away (Mt. 5:18). It would be wonderful if all those who are saved started taking their spiritual mission seriously.

In Christ, with love,
