And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24.14

 Jesus will come back to the world, for He promised, in order to take to Heaven those who trust in Him. Even if Hell tries to stop this from happening, it will happen with all its glory. Since the fall of man in the garden of Eden, God worked in such a way that Jesus would be born. Now, He works so that He may return and so that the promise may be fulfilled entirely.

Many things will happen in the world before the Father sends His Son again. Then, He will give an end to everything that exists on planet Earth and also in all the Universe. The second coming of Christ will be something without comparison. The human mind cannot imagine how it will be like. Stars will fall from heaven, material things will be burnt on fire, and then there will be new heavens and a new earth.

Many say that the return of the Lord is imminent; however, the Bible does not say so. In the verse that we are studying, the Master declares that the same Gospel that He preached would be announced to every creature. When Christ rebuked demons, healed the sick, and operated uncontested wonders, He gave an example of what should be done for humanity to know who He is, and to know what is sin and eternal life.

Only after all have seen the power of God setting the oppressed free and several other healing miracles happen, the end will come. The authority of the Lord carried out in His days must be used everywhere as a proof of the Truth. Thus, nobody will be able to claim that they were not able to discern the work of the Lord from religious teachings. 

When He used the pronoun “this”, Jesus showed that the light sermon which is heard in many places, has nothing to do with the undeniable testimony that serves for people. Now, when someone witnesses the deliverance of a demon possessed person, or the healing of a person that only God could have done so, it becomes clear that the Gospel is the message of Heaven.

We will help to abbreviate the coming of Christ if we announce what He taught, with the same demonstration of power. The word that He used gives us certainty that what matters is not only philosophical, religious, or social thoughts. After all, Christ affirmed that he who believed in Him would do the same works as He did (Jo 14.12).

If we take away the miracles from the Bible, it will still be a book with great orientations, but undoubtedly, there are other books with good orientations as well. In truth, it is the only book that talks about God’s operations amongst men, and at the same time, it affirms that these operations should be repeated everywhere, so that all people may witness them.
