The soul of the wicked desires evil; His neighbor finds no favor in his eyes.   Proverbs 21:10

The wicked is a person who is in a very depressing stage, for, although they were enlightened by the Truth, they preferred to remain in error, and in some cases, they mocked at the divine warnings. Therefore, their soul is in real danger. The more they act wickedly, the more they will treasure up against themselves (Romans 2:5). 

The wicked is a threat to the beginners if the faith in Jesus and also to all mankind, because their contaminated soul only wishes evil. For these people, any sign of happiness in another person´s life is a proof that they are wrong, but they don’t want to admit that. When looking at the opposite sex, most times, they see that person as someone who should be beside them and, therefore, if they have the chance, they will attempt to please themselves even through violence. Their wicked soul does not allow them to look at their neighbor as God sees them. 

When they see a person prospering in life, the wicked hopes that they stumble in life and therefore, get off from their successful journey. If they see a couple living well, they want that reality to be theirs, and if they can, they will do anything they can to end that relationship. The wicked does not know how to applaud when the adversary wins a competition. The truth is that those who are not in Christ are actually tormented by the enemy forever. 

Even if they are before a godly person who is used by the Lord, the wicked will speak wicked and negative comments about that person, even if they have never seen them, because they simply cannot like anybody that reminds them of the existence of God. It´s sad to see someone leave go astray from the ways of the Lord and enter into the path of destruction, because with such attitude, they are heading faster to eternal doom. 

In His wisdom, the Most High allows the wicked person to be punished in order to see what awaits them. Then, those who fear God will justify the Lord for His actions and, at the same time, they will insist for Him to give one more chance to this person who walks in error. The saved ones have no pleasure in defeat or in anyone´s doom, but they feel happy when those who are astray are saved and blessed. 

The righteous don’t rejoice with the loss of the wicked, but, when these people are under discipline, they take into consideration what happens to them and their relatives and pray for them to be spared of the destruction and turn back to the Lord wholeheartedly. There is always something we can do in favor of those who have despised the Path of Life, for, before the Father, the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). 

Never feel joy when your pursuer falls, because the Lord will not have you as innocent if you delight with someone´s defeat. On the taking of Jerusalem by the Babylonians, the people from the Mount Seir committed a very serious mistake of rejoicing with the failure of the people of Israel, and this cost their destruction forever.
