30/12/2015 - WHEN DEATH IS PRECIOUS

So he died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place. 1 Chronicles 29.28

A servant of the Lord should not fear the day of his departure, for when his moment comes, the Almighty will prepare everything to receive him in Glory. Just like our entrance in the world was beyond our comprehension and well-made, our departure to our eternal home – in different processes, but created by the Lord – will also be. After all, we will be besides He who is not ashamed of calling us His brothers and sisters.

When a man of God dies, people should receive the fact and celebrate it with joy, just like when a child is born. Those who love the Lord should never be desperate, and ask so that it never happens to them, but they should watch in the divine presence the transportation of those who loved God to the eternal arms of the Most High. The Word declares that there is a time to be born and a time to die (Ecl 3.2), but God is the One who will say when it will happen.

There is nothing to fear in these two processes that are planned in detail by the Author of Life, for everything that He does is perfect. Those who are in old age do not have to be apprehensive about their final moment, for Jesus said that whoever believes in Him will never taste death (Jo 8.51). It is evident that we will miss our close ones, but this will be for a short time, for in the Kingdom of God, we will be all together.

When the time of the believer ends, this should be accepted with tears of joy and not of sorrow. Despair is normal among the lost, for they do not have the hope of eternal life. After we are 70, we must continue doing the work, but at the same time, we must be watchful, for the Father can warn at any moment that our time has come. Therefore, if we are prepared, we will encounter He who paid such a great price to make us become His children.

David died in good age, with full knowledge of the things around him, and a great expectation of encountering and being besides the Lord, whom he loved and served. What a day! We will encounter the eternal God, and in a blink of an eye, we will be transformed. Then, with glorified bodies, we will never die. Do not let religious fear and worldly fear take over your heart. The Father values our departure; He says that the death of His saints is precious to His eyes (Ps 116.15). We cannot understand why a saved person fears his final moment here on earth, because it will be a time of reaping what was planted.

If you do not do anything for those who are not saved, be careful! David was full of days, riches, and glory. But did he take his riches to Heaven? Yes, undoubtedly, for he invested what he had in the work of God, and in the end of his life, gave it all in the house of Lord. Prepare he who should succeed you, according to the divine election, and have a good entrance in Heaven!

In Christ, with love,

Father! When he was called to go to Your presence, David was in good age. I believe that this declaration shows what You desire for me and my brethren who do Your work. May we fulfill Your precepts so that this might be fulfilled in us as well.

Your Word says that we must learn to count our days so that we may achieve a wise heart, and therefore, please You. May my readers, whenever they are called, reach this stage by faith, so that the same might be said of them.

The riches that we desire are the works that You have given us to do, like David had his hands full of them. The glory achieved by Your servant is a lesson for all who care called, for he never lost a battle, and when he sinned, he knew how to recognize it and repent.
