08/03/2015 - WHEN FORGIVENESS IS TRUE

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11.25

Certainly, the Lord fulfills His promises, even if it all seems impossible. Whenever you are tempted to doubt the divine faithfulness, rebuke it at the same instant, for the devil is behind every doubt or fear. The enemy always strives to move the believer away from the divine presence and towards his arms. Thus, never accept to think that the Most High is a liar like man. He is the Truth (Jo 14.6).

Though others may have inflicted great pain and suffering in your life, be ready to forgive. It is obvious that the offender must be willing to confess his sin and ask for forgiveness. However, if he does not feel that his attitude was wrong, or believes that you deserved such a scorn or betrayal, only asking for forgiveness should not be considered. Whoever offends falls in the hands of the enemy and will only be set free if he truly repents.

If you were a victim of any harm, do not let yourself be led by the temptation of repaying the suffering to your offender. In case this person seeks you and opens himself completely, the Spirit of God will show you that he is being truthful. Then, accept her request and concede forgiveness. However, if you stay in the flesh and want to receive for the harm that you suffered by taking revenge on your offender, you will not receive the reward of the Lord in the day of redemption.

Do not let any evil inhabit your heart, for if it happens, inevitably you will fall in the snare of the enemy. Nothing that is sinful should be tolerated, even the pain of having been a victim of betrayal. If you do not forgive, considering that the person repented and asked for forgiveness, you will open the door of your heart for the spirits of mistake to enter and cause you more harm than what was previously done to you.

Jesus was clear in affirming that the act of conceding forgiveness to someone makes the Lord forgive us in such a way (Mt 6.15). But if you deny forgiving the one who offended you, on the other hand, the Lord will not be able to redeem you, for you will not have followed the divine commandment. Think well: have you never committed an offense? Probably, you also have many mistakes that you must repent. Therefore, you are the one who decides if you will be forgiven or not.

The devil desires to strike the Christian in many matters, and thus, he tries to show the advantages of an extramarital or pre-marital affair to the son of God. He is not able to do so because this servant of God does not pay attention to him. Since he does not manage to be successful, the enemy uses another person to harm him, through offenses, defamations, or other kinds of evil. Then the son of God gets upset, which is normal, and refuses to forgive the offender, allowing the enemy to have both of them in his hands.

Never collaborate with the evil one, for if you do so, you will have a high price to pay. The devil knows that he who obeys him becomes his servant, and therefore, he will do everything so that the Christian might forget about what the Word of God says and act as an unbeliever. However, those who serve the Lord will never move away from the divine orientations, and therefore, they are always in communion with the Father.

In Christ, with love,

Father! When the disciples heard that they should forgive those who offend them, even if the offender came seven times saying that he was sorry, they asked Jesus to increase their Faith. It is true that it is not easy to suffer an aggression and concede forgiveness, but isn’t this Your order?

Who were we to deserve Your forgiveness? Certainly, we were worse than what we thought. However, seeking our well-being and the love that we would dedicate to You, You have forgiven us. Now, we can call You Father and enjoy the blessing of Your forgiveness. May the same happen to our offender!

Therefore, we forgive those who have offended us and ask that they may be forgiven by You and felt loved by You. It was harsh, it hurt us very much, but since we follow Your direction with all sincerity, we concede them forgiveness. Father! Thank You for forgiving us too.
