14/05/2014 - WHEN GOD SAYS “DO IT”

The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon. Genesis 41.32

It is good to pay attention to what the Lord says. Moreover, when we understand the message, it is as if He spoke to us a second time. Joseph of Egypt said this belief to the Pharaoh, saying that the fact that God had duplicated the revelation showed that it was a determination of His, and He would hurry in doing it. King David, for example, claimed to have heard twice that the power belonged to the Almighty (Ps. 62.11).

When Jesus arrived at Bethsaida, people brought a blind man to Him. He then took him by the hand and led him out of the village. After that, He then applied saliva on the eyes of that man, and laid His hands on him. After that He asked him if he could see anything. Responding to His question, the blind man said he saw men as trees. The Master then put His hands on him again, and the man started to see clearly. Jesus’ second touch brings back a clear view (Mark 8:22-25).

There are many people who attend our meetings, but don’t yet serve God. They know that Jesus is the only Way, however when they see others being used by the Lord, they say that they don’t understand why God doesn’t use them as well. Pastors can never please them, and if something doesn’t work according to what they like, they soon depart from God’s way. However, if they heard for a second time what is announced, they would also be victorious.

The truth is that if you hear how everyone listens – only with the natural ear – faith does not come to your heart; but when you hear for the second time, understand the revelation, the power and skill are granted to him. The Bible teaches us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10.17b). When you hear for the second time, you will understand that the time to use the power that belongs to God arrived; however, do not delay, because He is in a hurry.

Listening to your inner ear is as if God is repeating what He said. Whoever hears for the “second time” doesn’t need to wait in order to take possession of what was announced. By understanding what God says, you are authorized to act in His name, determining what you need. Any delay in the completion of a project will only be because of you. Know that when you understand the revelation God is in a hurry.

Jesus said that one of the 12 disciples would betray Him; everyone heard once, and Judas twice (Mt 26.20,21,25). The Lord was giving him a chance to repent. Since the traitor did not seize the opportunity, Jesus gave him a piece of wet bread (Jn 13:26), and he went out to fulfill his decision (see 27.30). The other disciples only heard once and therefore thought he was leaving in order to buy something for the party or to give to the poor (see 28.29).

Joseph revealed to the Pharaoh that the dream he had meant that he would have seven years of prosperity, then another seven of hunger. If that leader didn’t hurry, his people could suffer in the years of scarcity, and it would be his fault. He then placed Joseph as the ultimate authority over the country and saved his nation from the famine that had been announced (Genesis 41.28-57).
