19/10/2015 - When iniquities prevail

Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, you will provide atonement for them. Psalm 65.3

The same thing that happened to David will happen to all our brothers as well. Even though we are rejecting the dirty thoughts and not bowing to the enemy’s attacks, temptations continue to scourge us. What do we do? Should we surrender to them? Do not even think about it, because that is what the enemy wants. He knows we have God’s anointing for victory; that is why he brings dirty thoughts to separate us from the Lord.

In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus taught us to ask the Father to deliver us from temptations (Matthew 6.13). This instruction must be taken seriously and put into practice. However, it is not enough to pray. We need to take our stand and demand these demonic suggestions to cease. Open up your heart to God and do not hide anything from Him.

The king of Israel was a man committed with God’s work. He was always ready for battle, but, even so, the devil tempted him. When he spoke of the iniquities that surrounded him, David asked that his prayers would be heard. He who loves sin must repent.

When the monarch felt that his iniquities were constant, he said that the Lord forgives transgressions. This is one of the most important things to say about God. The person, then, is confessing not only that he is somehow cooperating with the enemy, but also asks for forgiveness. There is nothing better than being sincere.

In order to drag you out of God’s presence the accuser will employ all the weapons he has. He will do all he can to grab your attention. If you listen to the devil, he will have planted in your heart one of his seeds. If you do not repent, then, in no time, he will have you in his hands. To put an end to it, confess your offenses to God and be firm in the Word.

The truth is that God has much more to give you. He can put an end to your suffering in the blink of an eye. He will not answer, however, to him who does not pray with faith, seeming not to be sure he wants to be delivered. The Lord will not set out to build a “tower” not knowing whether He will be able to finish it. You can only break free from the temptations with His help.

If your iniquities prevail, repent and ask the Father to forgive you. The tempter will be defeated by this attitude. God is calling and He desires to set you free from all of what the Devil has to offer, because He knows that, if you fall for them, this will be your end. Get rid of them!

In Christ, with love,

Most Holy God! There is no way to live in Your presence when our hearts are turned to evil. Iniquity cannot prevail against us or else we are out of Your plans. Help us to have a steadfast spirit.

Forgive us for the times when we allow evil things to assault us or make us suffer. What Hell is offering us cannot become a part of us. Rid us from all that comes from the enemy and, at the same time, cleanse us to serve You.

You do not reject any prayer made with faith, in the Name of Jesus. So help us now and set us free. Your will alone is what we desire. We need Your love, Father.
