Therefore the princes said to the king, “Please, let this man be put to death, for thus he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man does not seek the welfare of this people, but their harm.”

Jeremiah 38.4

Many people fail to act on God’s revelation because they do not understand it. This is the same as sowing for a big disaster. Unfortunately, tragedies happen all the time and we see many people suffering, homes destroyed, prisons overcrowded and people starving. The eternal God never speaks without a purpose. That is why we must always take heed to his Word, because it may be our last warning before the devil carries out his evil schemes.

When people fail to take heed to God’s revelation, the message that is supposed to strengthen is deemed as a message that weakens, so they miss the opportunity to receive a blessing. Because they were not in God’s presence, the princes of Judah did not see that Jeremiah was a prophet, a man anointed by God. And today many people are doing the same. But when they come to their senses, it will be too late.

Instead of embracing the man of God, they wanted to put him to death. Well, he who is blinded by the spirit of error cannot see that the prophet of the Lord has the solution for his problems. Depending on how distant a person is from the Mighty One, he will be able to issue a sentence of suffering or even death to someone who could help him. Brethren, do not add any more errors to your list of sins.

It is possible to know an authentic preacher of the Word by the message he brings. Sometimes, in order to heal, the wound needs to be opened; but those who truly belong to God seek peace. When people understand the message and humble themselves before the Lord, his power enters into action and wonderful things happen. After all, the message from God is always given with the purpose of helping people with their troubles.

The Lord did not want his people to be taken captive. If the Israelites had repented, God would have used Jeremiah, as well as others, to guide them through the Holy Path. That is what God is trying to do with his children today, but history will repeat itself.

To be delivered from any evil involvement is very easy: all you need to do is take heed to that which the Holy Spirit of God tells you through the reading of the Bible and preaching of the Word.

In Christ, with love,
