I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude. Psalm 109:30

This verse reveals to us the preparation king David had made for his life. He decided that he’d greatly praise the Lord and he knew that his mouth would be used to thank the Lord most high. David had a vision of the spiritual world that many pastors still don’t have. Many people seek their own benefits, but they forget that behind the help they need is a very powerful Being that has feelings.

Are you sure of what you hope for or are you the kind of Christian that’s waiting for the fruits without planting the tree? There are a lot of people who never thought about the praise they will give to the Lord in exchange for the blessings they need. These people are not really interested, and because of that, they don’t receive anything from heaven. All they want is to be free from their problems and from evil; however, this is not how God will use His power to help them.

James said that many people ask and do not receive because they ask amiss (Jm. 4:3). When there’s no biblical purpose, there’s no operation of the divine power. If Christians understood this truth, they would learn to do the work of God in the same way Jesus did when He was on Earth. Prepare yourself to meet the Lord, so that He’ll supply your needs and much more than that.

David was certain that he would praise the Lord most high with his mouth; he would never send an offering through one of his servants to say “Thank you Lord”. Even if amongst important people, David would tell them of what God allowed him to do, or did through him. That’s why he succeeded in the battles he fought. Those who understand the reasons for divine operation will see how easy it is to have the Lord Almighty on their side.

Another interesting fact is that David didn’t just worship the Lord hidden inside his bathroom or away from everybody else. He did worship in these places too, but he was a lot more interested that everyone would see what his God had done for him, and would start placing their faith upon the Omnipotent one and be blessed. Today, there are many families who would make a big party for a doctor who helped them but would never do such a thing to the Lord.

We should always be grateful to our wonderful Father, because it is always good to give Him praise. Don’t let anything keep you from being thankful to the One who freed you from death, from an accident, from a diabolic conspiracy or from any other thing. God is very pleased when we recognize what he has done for us. Therefore, be prepared to give Him many thanks, because He has many blessings to pour upon your life.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
