But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7.39

John the Baptist understood that Jesus was more powerful than him. For this and other reasons, he did not feel worthy of untying the straps of the Master’s sandals (Mark 1:7). This prophet made several affirmations about the Lord. One of them was that the Messiah would baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. This promise speaks about those who are born in God’s family, and since they are saved, they need to receive this power to fulfill the mission that He has given them.

Whoever is not taught about the baptism in the Holy Spirit cannot have faith to receive Him. As a consequence, they lack power from High, which is the assurance that they are born again and are ready to do the work of the Kingdom. There is no way a person can understand Scriptures entirely if they are not filled with power from High.

The Bible says that on the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink, so that rivers of living water would flow of people’s hearts (John 7:37,38). This invitation shows us that life in Christ is not a religious experience, but an incomparable covering of power. When we are baptized, we experience more from God, from His power, and His guidance. When we read a verse, we can understand the revelation of the Lord contained in it.

Apostle John says that “to drink from the Lord” means to receive the Spirit, for those who believe in Jesus. Everyone who is born again in Christ must ask, and in some cases, insist in order to be filled with power from heaven. Then, whenever they are in the divine presence at church or anywhere else, they can be baptized.

Christians need to be taught how to seek and receive the glorious baptism, which will enable them with authority to be witnesses of Jesus and workers of the Lord’s will. Without it, no soldier will be victorious in war. Only those who are well armed will not lose battles. Therefore, seek to receive power and fire so that you never fail.

If you are not baptized in the Spirit of God, you will not be victorious in the Gospel. How many Christians have fallen in temptation, suffered with many evil things, when they should be witnessing about how to be freed from the attacks from hell. The offer of this coating has been given by Christ to those who are thirsty for victory and want to be used by Him.

Today, since Jesus has already been glorified, everyone who is saved can and must seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then, they will be true witnesses of the Almighty God and Father, who will not let His children without the necessary conditions to face the devil in all of his attacks.

In Christ, with love,

Oh God! In the entire Old Testament, there are mentions of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The prophets spoke about this wonderful time, in which we can be filled of power to do Your work. Therefore, we want this baptism.

Jesus invited the people in His days to come to Him and drink from the Water of Life, so that they could have rivers of living waters flowing inside of them. Today, there are millions of children of Yours filled with the Holy Spirit, but most of them do nothing with this immense power.

Like in the Pentecost, come and baptize us with Spirit and with fire, so that we may fulfill Your will, delivering the captive, healing the sick, and giving all an opportunity for salvation. Lord, we have lacked so much without this baptism!
