17/02/2013 - WHO SHALL DWELL WITH EVERLASTING BURNINGS?

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

Isaiah 33:14

Oddly enough the Lord’s house had and still has sinners. One day, however, they will be amazed at what God will do. Who shall dwell with the Most High, who is a devouring Fire? Who shall dwell amid everlasting burnings? Far beyond what we have seen or enjoyed is what the Almighty has prepared for His people. So we need to rethink our way of serving Him.

It shouldn’t have been this way, but even in the biblical times there were sinners in God’s house – and today it is not different as there are people who insist on walking the path of error. The saved ones must understand that however enticing a sinful act might seem to be, they should always turn away from temptation. Is it worth enjoying sinful practices and going to Hell? Wouldn’t it be better to abandon illicit pleasures and be rewarded 30, 60 and 100 times more?

Fearfulness had seized the hypocrites. Up until today hypocrites can be found everywhere and their crooked ways can lead to many spiritual mishaps that can shake the foundations of entire families, lead many to bankruptcy, prostitution, adultery, dishonesty, drugs and straight to the arms of Satan.

But the hypocrites will be surprised at what the Lord will do. There is no way of escape from Him whose eyes are like blazing fire (Revelation 19:12). Those who are in sin and hypocritically condemn those who fall will pay a high price for giving shelter to the enemy by yielding to temptations. So if you’ve been seduced by a forbidden passion, put a stop to it while there is time; after all, the divine patience may run out.

On the other hand, those who confess their sins and abandon their stray ways shall dwell with the Lord, the devouring Fire, in the same house in which He dwells, and evil will not reach them. Because they will always be kept safe, the enemy won’t touch them. However, those who let themselves be carried away by temptations will open the door for the author of all evils.

Those who love God’s Word and struggle, even though they feel weak, so as not to be tarnished by sin shall dwell amid everlasting burnings, which come with the baptism in the Holy Spirit, just as it happened at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). The divine power shall answer all those who are called by the Lord.

God’s potential to bless people is huge. Not even those who have received His blessings can empty God’s storehouse (Malachi 3:10), and He has even more to whoever is faithful to Him. So do not get carried away by the temptations and be of God!

In Christ with love,
