You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness. Psalm 30:11

David terminates Psalm 30 praying to be heard by the Lord. Furthermore, he asks for mercy and for God to be his helper.  His request was correct.  Why pray at all, if not to be heard?  What is man if the Almighty has no mercy for him?  We are so far from the position God meant for us, that without divine mercy, we will never find Him.  Finally, if He is our helper, our problems are over.

In His sacrifice Jesus enable God to transform our mourning into dancing.  Today we do not have to stare at a crucifix and weep over Jesus having been crucified in our place.  We must rejoice that He paid the price for our redemption.  Now all believers in the Gospel that receive His mercy can say, “The Lord is my Savior, what else do I need?”

The Lord removed our sackcloth, the expression of suffering and humiliation and clothed us in joy and gladness.  The saved have nothing to grieve or to cry in shame.  Today we glory in our condition of redeemed by the Lord.  We are freed and consequently must demonstrate our full joy before the Father. Those who are girded with gladness need never again wear the sackcloth of humiliation in shame.  Halleluiah!

All of this is so that our glory, the shine and the glow for being children of the All-Powerful, sing praises to Him.  As we understand our position before the Lord and men, we will walk with our head held high, with light shining on our faces, which will be a message to those who have not left their spiritual Egypt and go to the House of freedom.  Today, we are glorious, for we transmit the peace and love of the Almighty.

Our glory can’t be silenced.  Every moment we must rejoice in the presence of Him who so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us.  We are no longer slaves of darkness.  Celebrate this eternal fact, for you have been crowned.  The saved are like those who were oppressed and on being delivered and freed, were dressed in new robes, and at the feet of Christ sat in perfect righteousness.

Our shame is gone, our pain has ceased our problems were solved. Now we have to just live as the Lord wills us to.  We must not keep silent about what He did for us, even if we suffer like Peter and John in the hand of the unbelieving priests.  If this should happen to us, it will be like a beautiful present from the Lord.  We shouldn’t stop talking about what we saw and heard from Him.

Be glad!  Your mourning has turned to dancing because your shame has been removed.  Your glory should sing praises to the Lord.  Tell him you will sing praises to Him forever and always. This is that the Lord expects:  for when you tell others what He has done in your life, you praise Him.  Amen!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord! We thank You for what You have done for us, placing all our guilt on Your Son Jesus.  Therefore we are blameless before You. We love You for what You are.

Hear our gratitude through the mercy You had for us.  When You placed our sins on Jesus, as well as our pains and infirmities, You were exchanging our mourning for holy dancing.

Shame has left and true joy has come over us.  We don’t have to cry or despair with the traps of the devil, for You gave us glory; which is why it sings praises to You and does not want to silence!
