Deal bountifully with Your servant, That I may live and keep Your word. Psalm 119:17

This psalm was written many years before Jesus was ever born. These words showed what happened when there was no grace of God in the world. Those that were subjected to the law, if they did not fulfill all the conditions of the Alliance, would not be blessed. So the psalmist prayed that good might be done to him so that he might live. After Calvary, in order that we have life, we have only to examine the Scriptures and believe in the Lord.

These days, we have the grace of God which guarantees us that the Almighty is benevolent to us. With this divine backing we can overcome evil’s oppositions. Now we must return to the Lord the good we received from Him, keeping and exercising His commandments, helping our neighbor or fulfilling His mission purposed in us. In truth, this is what it means to love God and to be loved by Him (John 14:21) He that hath my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

The psalmist was serving the Lord with joy, because he understood how important it was in order for God to do him good. Everyone should strive to have this interaction. When we pray for one in need and extend our hand to help at the same time, the Almighty showers His blessings on our lives. Those who only want to receive most likely will end up with nothing.

We know that the only way to overcome temptations which surround us abundantly is through God’s mercy. Without seeking His power, we are weakened and cannot fight for the proper results for us. The devil is the cause of all our problems and when he sees we are not in communion with the Father, not only does he bring his evil deeds but he also insists on saying that God is punishing us. Mercy!

To be allowed in the Almighty’s presence we have to but serve Him with joy. Here is a biblical precept to enhance and complete your faith. In this manner you will receive courage and power to do battle against those that attack you. Your prayers will be answered and even your desires will be met. Those who do not observe and follow the Scriptures and try to do the works on their own realize their futility and that their prayers were not heard nor heeded.

The floundering Christian must examine his actions in comparison to the Bible because those who do no not obey it cannot be attended or favored in their prayers. It is not sufficient just to pray, seeing as God cannot help those who do not keep the precepts that rule the Kingdom of Heaven. Moses, for instance, made the tabernacle as he was shown and told. Halleluiah!

The psalmist understood that the observing and keeping of the Word is the object of all. This is standard practice for all who draw near to God. If the Lord did no good to His servant, the evidence would show that he had not followed the instructions in the Word. In light of this, could he in all sincerity declare that the Creator is good, heals, delivers and solves problems? As we see it, we receive from God. Now, how will we reply and exercise retribution to what is shown us?

In Christ, with Love,

God! In our journey here on earth we face problems that challenge our faith in You.  Some say that there are hereditary sufferings, but how can this be so if in Christ we are born anew?

If Your Spirit vivifies our mortal bodies how do we avoid this work? Only Your revelation will bring light to us so we can take positive measures to allow Your will to be done in us and in the millions that serve and love You.

Come do us good for we don’t want to invent anything, but only to learn from You. If You help us, many will learn what to do, will be helped, will live and obey Your Word. We love you!
