01/06/2018 - WHY SING PRAISES TO GOD?

Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. Psalm 147.1

This Psalm begins with a vigorous hymn as an expression of gratitude to the Lord for what He had done for His people.  Those that can’t understand the motive for our praise to God have not yet experienced the marvelous wonders from this simple and rewarding attitude.  Praise is similar to the act of eating, when we take in foods that nourish and renew our strengths.  When praising the Lord, we produce words that are pleasant to Him and which strengthen us. 

It is good to glorify the Name of our Savior.  This way, our hearts are opened to receive essential knowledge from Him.  We were enabled to fight against the forces of evil.  After some time praising God, we are transformed into victorious warriors and we defeat all oppression.  As we talk about the divine power, we are clothed with authority.

Doing good deeds makes us productive and successful.  This way we are able to defeat the forces of darkness and its threats.  The suffering that the enemy brings loses its capacity to afflict us, and suddenly we are able to destroy the attacks from Hell against our life.  It is good to praise the Creator and exalt His majesty.  Praise is comely and useful!

The Lord is God.  With His help, we will win battles and leave His mark in each one of them, to prove it was one more case when the Father fought for His servants and gave them victory.  There will never be a time when you will read: “Light did not overcome darkness” or “Love did not overcome hatred.”  Much to the contrary; we will read that the devil was defeated and lost his stand.  God is love!  He is good!

As you sing praises to the Almighty, you prevent the enemy from oppressing you and you open your heart for the Holy Spirit to teach you how to take possession of what is yours. True praise comes straight from the Lord to the hearts of His children.  That is why they can win the battles against the enemy.  This way, they bring joy to the Almighty through the victories that they obtain by using His holy and powerful Name.

To sing praises is pleasing to the Lord, for it is the expression of our faith.  This way, you disconnect yourself from the weaknesses of the flesh, from the evil influences and then you are strengthened in the Rock. Start singing about the divine goodness; praising Him for His works and for His love towards those who trust in His Word.  Then, you will see that this is all that was necessary to turn you into the person God created you to be.  The Father’s purpose for your life is sublime.

Praising God promotes you before Heaven.  It makes you victorious. Fill yourself with the power from Above and the promises from the Creator will be fulfilled in your life.  This is what you need to do in order to show your faith; so, proceed in loving the Lord.
