A fool’s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows. Proverbs 18:6

There are two types of people that are part of the church of Jesus Christ: the wise who actually truly believe in what the Lord reveals through the Word and there are the fools, who give no importance to the Holy Scriptures. Now, God is full and complete in His wisdom, power and love. So, when He tells us something we can believe that that is what is best for us, although it is not everything He has to give us due to the fact we are in this world.

If you have not fully overcome a crisis and are being afflicted by another attack from the powers of darkness, you are probably considered to be a fool in the spiritual realms. Someone like this doesn’t notice or realize that his lips place him in jeopardy allowing the enemy to use him to affect lives.  Once within the enemy’s grasp, they will suffer of the worst of evils. One must turn to the Lord in sincere repentance in order to be removed from under Satan’s power and be able to live.

Whoever does not build his life according to the Word lays himself open to the works of the enemy.  Anyone can commit this mistake, sufficient being to contradict the Scriptures. When we do not live according to the Law of Liberty – the Gospel, – we are trapped in the enemy’s net.  All those that have problems to solve must review and examine closely their own words as they must certainly be saying things that are not in line with the Bible.

The only way to exit the enemy’s camp, the area of conflict, is to reflect on your own words and to change them! Confess and repeatedly declare what is written in the Bible about you – what you can, may and must do as well as your true identity in Christ.  Then, take all good care and stay alert not to proffer negative ideas or lies. In case you do say something bad or wrong ask to be forgiven immediately; this way you will rid yourself of the malignant at once.

As you affirm or confess what you think to be right, but it is condemned by the Word, you place yourself in the middle of the battle and lay yourself open to successive trials and evils. The wrong word is taken by the devil as a request for a beating!  Terms that are not according to the Bible are invitations for the powers of darkness to harm you.  That is why many Christians suffer terrible attacks from Satan. Do you care to be delivered?  Declare the Truth!

Be mindful to never prevaricate – to corrupt what God tells you to say. Even Moses and Aaron enter into conflict when they affirmed what they should not have spoken.  Instead of glorifying and sanctifying the Lord before the congregation, they were enraged and said what they should not have said before the rock in the dessert. To prevaricate or equivocate and say something different than what God said to say is very easy for men but an insult to God.  Stay away from contention by only speaking the Truth.

Finally, make sure not to contradict the Lord. Gideon obeyed the Almighty and destroyed the altar of Baal. This false god’s followers moved against him and his father did not prevaricate but said that whoever fought for Baal would be killed. That if he were god, then let him defend himself.  Do not tie yourself to the teachings of man, but yes to the directions of the Word. I’ve seen many of His people suffer for not policing their lips.  Amen?

In Christ, with Love,

Blessed God! You do not accept that those who know You speak for Satan’s favor and say what they should not. This is an offense to You, even though it is done unconsciously. Forgive us and be merciful to us!

Forgive us our idle words for certainly without forgiveness we will have to account for the evil we suffered needlessly.  Help us to say and to declare that which You say about us. Take us away from the devil’s influence and domain. We must keep ourselves before You.

That Your people may be wise and not foolish.  Being a part of Your body we can neither offend You or abet the enemy. That the fear of Your Name may draw us to respect You and to keep true lips. Amen!
