And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

The Scriptures talk about our Savior and they provide us a beautiful vision that surprises us every time. Those who really examine the Scriptures, and not only read a little bit, become wise in God’s eyes. Jesus, for instance, found himself in what was written, and the same thing shall happen to us. The truth is that we can only change our lives when we assume that the Lord most high is talking about us.

To learn what is written in the Bible is the same as being before the Lord. Those who don’t do that will never fear or respect the one and only true God. This respect is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and without it, we will never have heaven’s favor at our disposal nor will we be able to teach our sons and daughters the way they should follow. If this doesn’t happen, we shall be held responsible for failing this important mission.

Seek being before the Lord at all times, for this will help you. Those who don’t learn from the Lord will be taught by Satan, the liar, who came to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10a). On the other hand, by learning your rights and what to do in every situation, you shall have victory only. There’s no doubt that the Lord wants you to be well succeeded in everything through your faith in Him.

The divine orientation is that we store His words inside our heart and soul (Proverbs 7:1). Do not allow one single empty space; if you do, the enemy will enter and you will start following his will for you. Understand that things with Jesus are infinitely better than with the devil. If you’re on Christ’s side, you will never be defeated. Why not accept being on the victorious side, where there’s no condemnation?

The Lord wants to operate on your behalf. If everything depended exclusively on Him, you wouldn’t have any problems that were too hard to be solved. So why not pay attention to the divine orientations and put an end to everything that bothers you? Why leave for later what you can do right now? The Creator included on His manual everything that’s necessary for us to live free from the influences of the enemy.

This topic is so important that the Lord most high oriented the sons of Israel to tie their words onto their own hands, so that the words be as frontlets to their eyes (Dt. 6:8). In other words: they should never forget the Lord’s orientations. This way, they would multiply their days on the Promised Land, which to us means the Gospel.

If, with diligence, they would keep the Lord’s commandments, they would be free from their enemies. This promise refers to everyone who’s called by the name of the Lord. Therefore, obey the commandments you read in the Word of God, for this will do you much good. Your happiness depends on your faithfulness to the Lord almighty.
