A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

Matthew 16.4

In the spiritual world, those who are lost are regarded as children of the devil (1John 3.10). These people do not have their requests fulfilled because, since the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden, they are not able to have fellowship with the Creator and, under the dominion of the enemy, they are the target of all hatred from this repulsive being. Unfortunately, spiritual death is real and the lost ones will be eternally separated from God.

The reason why those who are not converted are wicked is due to their nature, which has been contaminated with the sin of the world. In addition, they became adulterous, as they left communion with the Light and allowed themselves to be guided by forces of darkness. On the other hand, those who experience the new birth become good and reliable, and they have at their disposal all signs they need. When we are born again, our spirit is recreated by the Lord. But when a person is not born again, he is separated from the Mighty One, even if his intentions are good.

If everyone understood what is gained from the new birth, they would strive to experience it. Through the new birth, people are reunited with God and become his children. All sins are forgiven and the person who used to practice them is gone. We are recreated; we become a new being to serve God’s righteousness. Because you are now a child of God, you are no longer considered an enemy, nor are you excluded from everything that the Father has. This means that, if you need any signs, you can ask the Lord and your request will be honored (1John 3.2). And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5.24). Now, as blameless children of God, we can carry out God’s justice through faith in the name of Jesus.

Why should you continue to be part of a wicked and adulterous generation excluded from God’s presence? The Great Day will come, and those who have not repented will be cast into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angel (Matthew 25.41). If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Savior yet, do not let him leave you and depart, as it happened to that wicked generation. If he leaves, this means that you will be forever doomed.

A very different fate awaits the saints of the Most High: Jesus will never leave them, and they will go to heaven and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever (Daniel 7.18). Meanwhile, they can enjoy the presence of our Savior. The children of God will never be left and the Lord will never depart from them. Dear reader, surrender your life to Jesus and you will see that it was worth doing it. How about you do that right now?

In Christ, with love,
