10/10/2016 - WINE IN THE CLUSTER

Thus says the Lord: “As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, For a blessing is in it,’ So will I do for My servants’ sake, That I may not destroy them all.  Isaiah 65:8

The people from the kingdom of the South – part of Israel that adopted the name of Judah during the division -, although they saw what happened to kingdom of the North, which was taken captivity to Assyria and never came back, being dissolved amongst other nations, did not pay attention to what the Lord had forbid them to do. They were warned by Isaiah that they would be taken to Babylon, but they did not hear him.

Among them, many people remained faithful to the Lord; therefore, they were not responsible for that destruction. For this reason, some stayed in Judah and others would be used by the Most High in the Babylonian land. Isaiah explained that not everyone would be blamed for the punishment over the kingdom of the South, by using the figure of a cluster of grapes. The Word was fulfilled, and, unfortunately, the people of God were taken to a strange land.

The prophecy was fulfilled, for it spoke since the going to captivity until the return and the reconstruction of Jerusalem. It also serves to explain what would happen to the people that would be saved in the coming of Jesus. The biblical verses must be understood in the context, but also individually, for, many times, we find several messages in only one verse. Those compared to a cluster of grapes would not be wasted.

There are clusters that contain dried grapes, and those that reap throw them away; however, there are others whose grapes are filled with wine – juice – and, because of that, people put them aside, because since there is wine, they are useful. This teaches us that we must always be filled with the nectar of the Spirit, so that we are not put together with the group that will stay at the left side of the Master and will be sent to the lake that will burn with fire and brimstone.

To have wine in your life means anointing and, because of that, you will not be wasted because of the coating of power you were given, even if, at that moment, you are not doing the divine will, like it pleases the Lord God. The Lord will separate you for the group of the good ones, but this does not mean that you can remain in error, for, if you do so, the Spirit of God will feel aggravated and, then, you will be forbidden to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Those that are faithful to the Lord will be rewarded for their love for Him and His work. The Most High does not want to destroy you, even if you don’t serve Him like you should. He doesn’t do this to any of His children, but He offers them forgiveness. Therefore, take possession of the Word the Lord gave you, confess your errors and abandon them.

Put an end to the temptations that make you distance yourself from the Father. He will not always listen to your requests to be forgiven, so that once you are forgiven, you go back to sinning. Enjoy the mercy that you have been granted and cry out to the Lord once and for all, because in Him there is love, forgiveness and strength to lift you up.

In Christ, with love,

Creator of grapes! Your wisdom made the vine with its precious fruit. Those that keep the anointing are compared with the good grapes, which cannot be wasted. We praise You for this. May any of my readers never be like a cluster of withered grapes, dry and useless, but may we be like a good fruit, filled with wine – life and anointing. Thus, they will fulfill Your commandments.

Don’t let us be wasted, for we were bought at a very high price, the blood of Your Son. Today, in Your presence, we cry out for Your mercy and grace in order to live for You.
