A wise man is strong; Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. Proverbs 24.5

There are countless advantages for those who become wise in life and in faith.  The doctrine that will flow from your mouth will be a positive deterrent force against the snares that Satan sets up to enchain the sons and daughters of God. That’s why all who are saved should ask God for wisdom.  With it, they can come and go among important people with approval and glorify the Lord.

Whoever becomes strong can win against any adversary.  That’s why David, a young sheep shepherd, was able to kill the lion that attacked his fold and likewise give a bear the same treatment.  To ignore the discernment given by the Most High is unwise, because man’s is earthly, animal and diabolic.  It is sad to see a brother or sister in Christ stumbling for this reason.

God appointed us to be his representatives.  Therefore prepare yourself to not be defeated by the devil.  Then the work of your hands will be carried out as the Eternal wills.  No matter how well intended you are, without divine help you will not please the Almighty on completing your mission.  If in your attitude there be something of the flesh you will foil the plans of the Omnipotent.

Whoever received the necessary virtue to fulfill their calling is still not prepared to do war.  The knowledge of who they are, of what they and are able to do  -  and also of what God promised to do through them is what will make them consolidate their strength.  Hosea heard that God’s people were destroyed for lack of knowledge.  The four youths who stood out in Babylon had received intelligence from Above.

A prudent heart comes from the Lord, who upon answering Solomon’s prayer said that no man had been lifted up before him and no man would be lifted up after him.  The Eternal blessed the son of David, because he asked for wisdom in order to discern between good and evil when he judged the people.  Wisdom in asking can make you be used by the Most High, because He abhors the self-serving who are only seeking their own comfort.

The best way to obtain knowledge is by keeping His commandments, loving God and being loved by Him.  By meditating on the witnesses contained in the Scriptures we can obtain more wisdom than most of our brothers. Beyond all doubt,  when obeying the Creator we are revealed the right direction to take. Exposing the Word enlightens us and steadies our steps.

As we can see, God thought of everything.  Undoubtedly we will win the onrush of evil.  If you are wise not only will you please the Lord, you will be strong to do combat and never be defeated. There will be a spirit of wisdom and knowledge in those that the Comforter rests; counsel and strength, knowledge and fear of the Lord.  Is that not sufficient?
