01/03/2013 - YOU HAD BETTER MAKE AMENDS NOW

Some men’s sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later.

I Timothy 5:24

No sin will stay hidden forever (Matthew 10:26). He whose iniquities are discovered while he is still living is a lucky person. Sin takes people away from salvation and leads them to eternal perdition. However, when sin is confessed, it becomes nonexistent. Bear in mind that, by confessing your faults, you are not only forgiven but justified in Christ’s death. The Lord is a God of justice.

People who think their sins will be covered forever are utterly wrong. They had better be revealed because then the one who committed them won’t be able to deny his acts and will have to confess. He who sins leaves the divine presence and if he doesn’t repent or stop sinning, he will be condemned because sin will expose its author.

If your transgression has been discovered, praise God because now you have the chance to make amends. There is nothing worse than knowing that in the great day the iniquity that was not forgiven will be revealed, and because it wasn’t confessed he who practiced it will be sentenced to spending eternity in hell, separated from God. If this weren’t so serious, the Almighty would not have sent His Son to die for us.

The individual who sins and hides it causes disturbance to his life, brings a curse for himself and for his family, and even if he prays, fasts and endeavors he won’t receive any answer from God unless he makes amends with the Lord and with whomever he wronged. If he doesn’t do it, the offender will never be accepted in heaven. Whoever gets to the Day of Reckoning with unconfessed sins will be condemned.

The best thing to do is to get rid of the error. Divine justice is not blind, so he who sinned and didn’t come to terms with the Father will not have the divine compassion. On the other hand if he confesses it, he will attain mercy, his sin will be forgiven and his soul will be cleansed of all evil. He who recognizes his mistakes and confesses them is regarded as someone who never did any wrong.

Those who become children of God are never remembered for what they did during the time of their spiritual ignorance. When the Lord forgives, He cleans the offenders’ record and they can resume their fellowship with Him. Those who attain forgiveness are justified in Jesus, who paid a high price for man to live free from the hellish power.

If you have fallen but you have confessed your transgression, do not fear that the Lord will not answer you. One of the strategies of the evil one is to try and persuade those who fell that they cannot get out of the hands of the devil. But this is not true; after all, whoever confesses is free forever.

In Christ with love,
