These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. Deuteronomy 12.1

It is good to read Deuteronomy 12 carefully, for in it God shows us that we have erred by not doing anything to terminate the worship of demons. This work of the devil is seen everywhere. We must use the power granted to us to paralyze the action of the hellish kingdom, because mere exposure to it makes the unwary and those who are not steady in the faith to experience such things.

God sums up His statutes and judgments as weapons of destruction of all that is evil, leading us to understand that suffering, anguish, diseases and spiritual disturbances must be destroyed. The Lord is ready to do what is necessary for you to lead a peaceful life, but it depends on your behavior. Have you given the Word due attention?

We must proceed carefully! Undoubtedly the devil has acted in the lives of some servants of God, as he did with Peter, who hesitated and rebuked the Master as He spoke about His future on Earth. Jesus did not leave for later and reprehended the apostle immediately. When the hand of the Lord is upon a person, they speak what is good; but when they are carried away by some evil spirit, they sin.

The Israelites would have to carry out the work on the God-given land, which represented our Land of Promise. Likewise, we must do everything for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven in order to achieve the success the Father planned. No matter how tired you become to accomplish something; if you act out of the Word, the real target will not be reached. Now, if you speak according to Scriptures, you will see that Jesus´ yoke is light (Matthew 11:30)!

Canaan was a symbol of the true land we reached in faith in Christ, therefore, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Whoever acts in the flesh – in the natural – loses a lot, because he does not follow biblical guidance. Our land is spiritual and eternal, while the Hebrew´s was perpetual, with a beginning and an end. How can we fail to praise such a present God as ours?

They were to destroy the evil works whenever such came their way. Thus, they would possess the land every day they lived. This land is a symbol of eternal dwelling. Believe in the Most High, for in Him we live, move and have (Acts 17:28). We cannot give up on the journey, for soon we will reach the place where the Lord has established. Halleluiah!

It is important to note that if the Israelites disobeyed God, they would not own the land. Likewise, we must fulfill divine statutes and judgments and use with faith and determination the power which given to us.
