We still have much to learn from Edom’s decision to deny the Israelites passage. It goes back to Rebekah´s womb, in which the twin sons struggled for something they did not know. It was the struggle of darkness against the light, so that the Savior would not come from the person without the good traits. God has foreknowledge – He knows the facts before they happen. It´s best to never to rise up against divine plans!
No one is born by chance. All people are within the plan drawn up by the eternal God before the foundation of the world. Therefore, we have to preach the Good News to every creature to snatch some from the fire. There is no curse without cause (Proverbs 26:2), so we must teach the Truth to all. Those who claim to be saved also need to hear and learn about Jesus, for only then will they come out of perdition. Glory to God!
Never fail to announce the message of Christ even to someone who is said to have no salvation for him. Only God knows what can happen to those on the path of sin. It is also good to contribute with your sweat and your goods to the salvation of the lost. There is much to be done for those unfamiliar with the Good News, such as helping missionaries. Do something for good!
The king of Edom was evil to him and his people, ignoring that such request was a help granted by the Almighty, to give the hand to those who had the blessing. But the edomite loved the curse, and it came upon him. If he had listened to the request of the Israelites, he would have loved the blessing and it would have reached him (Psalm 109:17). How many are suffering for the sin of omission? We must fear the Lord!
I am sure Israel did not even feel how much more they had to walk because of Edom’s disastrous decision, but the evil king saw how much his refusal cost him. Always do good to those in need, for the Lord will reward your deed. All the people who acted this way were rewarded, but many did not believe to receive their reward. What would you do?
Whoever gives a glass of cold water to a disciple of the Master, paying attention to what they felt in their heart, will be rewarded by the Most High. So grab all the requests that come to your ears; otherwise you will be embarrassed. Jesus said, he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21 – part b). Is it worth it?
Queen Esther almost lost her blessing by hesitating to speak to the Persian king. However, upon receiving the message from Mordecai, the cousin who had raised her, realized that she was there for that moment. However, if she remained silent, help would come to her people from somewhere else, and she would perish (Esther 4: 1-14)! Do not waste the opportunity to do what is right!
In Christ, with love,

Father! We have acted blindly in the chances given to us, but with Your help we not be like the Edomite king. We need You at all times to succeed.
Israel changed plans, but Your project for Edom is no longer fulfilled because they turned away from You and closed in on Esau's wickedness. We do not know what we have received from our ancestors, but only what You give us is good.
The Israelites did Your will by departing from the territory of Edom, but those people lost a great deal. May this never happen to us or our children. It's worth serving You with love!
and Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
