And David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. For those nations were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as you go to Shur, even as far as the land of Egypt. . 1 Samuel 27:8

These people inhabited southern Judah, which should have been occupied by the Israelites about 500 years earlier, but for some reason they did not. So God used David to do the complete cleansing. We don’t know why we sometimes preach something we don’t even understand. But later, some approach us and thank them for the message that helped them.

The Most High reserves blessings for people to enjoy. Now these two small kingdoms south of Judah were part of the portion given to Israel, which had not yet been conquered. Similarly, there are promises in Scripture that are ignored by many until the Most High shows them to some of His servants, and they decide to take possession of them. David got the message!

With David’s attitude, the kingdom of Israel grew larger. Likewise, in understanding a certain biblical revelation, we must appropriate it. With this, others will also benefit. After that, whoever dares to assume what the Creator gives us for free will be blessed. Everything is ours by faith in Jesus.

When they discovered that after having found a promise in the Bible, they were to take possession of it through determination, many people who had been praying for years for God to heal them soon began to demand their suffering and witness to victory. . As a result, millions of human beings were soon freed from their evils. To God be the glory!

There are those who prefer to continue following their religions even though they have never gotten rid of evil. Our example is Jesus and in Him we must take our portion. David knew the command given by Moses concerning the peoples who inhabited the Promised Land. The Lord had said that everything there was to be destroyed, and so He proceeded.

Our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). We cannot make peace with error. People need to hear the Gospel to know the Truth and be delivered. Only then will evil works be undone with the prayer of faith, which has nothing to do with religious prayers. Genuine intercession puts the power of the Lord into action.

David had to be persecuted by Saul so that his cup would overflow. Then God took him, David won Ziklag without a fight, and delivered southern Judah from the Geshurites, Gersites, and Amalekites.
