Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience. Hebrews 4:6

The attitude of the Israelites who saw the glory of God in Egypt was regrettable when Moses, by divine power, caused the plagues to strike the land ruled by Pharaoh. They should not have chosen to send spies to confirm what the Most High had said (Deuteronomy 1:22,23). Ten spies came back with the bad news that set fire to the fearful camp, causing them to cry all night and prefer to go back to captivity rather than obey their heavenly Father. That´s crazy!

Today, those who are carried away by the lies of the devil and resist the call to go to the mission fields upset the Lord in the same way. It doesn’t matter what the press says or what the devil declares;  our God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). When the Father speaks, He speaks with good will and love, because it moves His heart. Believe and live!

The young Israelites, taken by Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon, did the work as God wants His children to do it nowadays. Even under that pagan and wicked government, they testified to their faith, refusing to bow to the statue of that dictator. Because of that, they were placed in the fiery furnace heated seven times more; however, in the end, they were victorious (Daniel 3:19.20).

God needs people like that, fearless in the face of the threats that those in power make to those who dare preach the Truth to people. Now the world is the Lord’s, so He will keep them from any harm. However, it´s good for those who want to do the divine will to deepen their knowledge of the Word and the power of God, so that they can testify as He wants.

Heaven expects there to be, in our generation, people just as intrepid as those of Daniel’s day. This prophet was not afraid to be thrown into the lions’ den and because he came out,  he proved that the Most High knows how to take care of those who serve Him. Today, one of the biggest obstacles to fulfilling the Go of Christ is the comfort provided by modern technology, which causes people to lay back. Mercy!

The Lord wants you to be a potential candidate to enter the rest prepared by Him for those who love Him. However, it´s necessary to understand that it´s not just wanting to do something for God, but one must obey His commandments, preparing yourself to present Him approved as a worker who knows how to handle well the Word of Truth  (2 Timothy 2:15). The Lord uses servants, not tourists!

Disobedience to divine precepts will be the cause of many people not entering the rest of the Almighty. Whoever picks up the plow and looks back, will certainly be rejected on the last Day (Luke 9:62). Whoever obeys does not choose where or when to carry out the order, but is present and more than ready to represent the Master.
