There is one alone, without companion: He has neither son nor brother. Yet there is no end to all his labors, Nor is his eye satisfied with riches. But he never asks, “For whom do I toil and deprive myself of good?” This also is vanity and a grave misfortune. Ecclesiastes 4:8

Greed is enrooted in people, even those who serve God. Their desire for more is greater. Many do not understand that they can have all their material and spiritual needs met in Christ. However, there are those who refuse to give the Lord a chance to show them His sovereignty.

Even a wealthy person, whose resources assure them a peaceful life at old age, struggles to earn more possessions. Why do that, if they will go into eternity without taking anything they have accumulated? Again, the answer is: they are possessed by greed and a lack of fear of God, which leads them to believe they will not be held accountable for what they failed to do for the poor.

We know people who live for their work, always thinking about accumulating wealth. There are the dishonest, like the insensitive corrupt, who never tire of harming the country, emptying the coffers due to overpricing of works done with the taxes collected. They don’t know, but the harm they are inflicting upon themselves will be infinitely greater in the future.

One cannot give up preaching the Truth to rescue unbelievers, even though many are corrupt. However, this does not prevent us from condemning these bad habits, although we know that, to restrain such facts, there is the Justice department and the police. The great destruction at all levels is spiritual, in which demons destroy lives. Only the Gospel can fight this war.

To conquer wealth, the man who does not fear God is carried away by the enemy’s talk, thinking the Most High does not look at that. That is completely wrong, for that is the work of spirits sent by the devil to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). They know how to fool those weak of mind, causing them to do what their boss wants. The saved indulged in sin will be punished.

Flee from what can help the accuser to corrupt lives. The Lord will avenge those treated unfairly. He is just and does not approve anything that would harm anyone. The Lord is the Truth, so He will never fail to answer Himself. Do good at all times and you will be rewarded. Now, there will be condemnation for the wicked. 

Examine the Scriptures and notice that the Most High has never endorsed theft or supported anyone who harms others financially, physically or morally. Live according to biblical teachings and you will succeed.
