One of the most outstanding men in the Bible was Joshua, a servant of the Most High who served Moses in such an impeccable way. Appointed by the Lord, he succeeded the great man of God and led Israel to dwell in Canaan, the Promised Land. He typified the believer, who is the successor of Jesus, the Commander. Joshua replaced Moses, just like we, humanly speaking, have to carry out the work in the Savior´s place.
He knew how to love God, keeping and fulfilling the commandments, as well as leading the Israelites at every step to the land flowing with milk and honey (Joshua 5:6). Likewise, we also must help the weak in faith to remain steadfast, so that on the last Day, they will be invited to go in and possess the Kingdom which has been prepared since the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34). We cannot miss out on this moment!
As a commander of God´s people, Joshua fought many wars, only losing the battle of Ai because of a man who was taken over by greed. That caused the entire nation to be embarrassed by that tiny town. The servants of the Most High are conquerors. Therefore, they must remain steady and alert to carry out the divine plan.
When he heard of the defeat, Moses’ successor tore his garments and went into God’s presence, for he was their leader and did not accept such defeat. He was comforted discovered how that wrongdoing harmed Israel. Finally, the traitor was killed, and then, Joshua led the people in the battle against that city and won. The Lord was exalting him before the people!
Joshua waged many battles. He won them all, leading the Hebrews to possess their place appointed by the Most High. We also have the obligation to remain before divine presence. Thus, those entrusted to us will come out as conquerors from every adversity. We cannot accept shame, after all, the biblical examples inspire us to believe. Be faithful and God will honor you!
The Lord talks about the true and eternal rest which He will give to those who trust Him. On that day all tears will be wiped from our eyes (Revelation 7:17), and grief and sorrow will be removed from us. In eternity with Christ, there will only be blessings. The devil and his angels will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
We have the unique opportunity to enter into eternal rest, which was made to make us happy. Be brave! Resist the attacks of the wicked one, otherwise you won’t conquer the blessed gift of entering into God’s rest. We will be eternally happy next to our Savior.
In Christ, with love,

God of the other Day! That will be a wonderful moment, when we hear Your Son inviting us to possess the Kingdom which has been prepared for us since the foundation of the world! With our head held high, we will leave this wicked world and live with You.
Teach us to live like You desire, thus, we will keep the living hope. We do not give up on the eternal reward of being next to You without being shaken by the wicked or any suffering.
We are grateful for You have chosen us in Christ and given us power to become Your children, according to Your purpose. We will never again leave your Kingdom, for we will live in Your presence forever and ever. Amen!
