Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance. Luke 8.3

Jesus’ ministry took a different turn as He began to move from town to town and village to village, showing God’s will for humanity and His actions on behalf of those who believe in Him. People experienced all that faith in the living God promotes.  In fact, the God of whom they had heard about the deeds of the past, but in their twisted understanding, was no longer helping them. But many who were set free stood by the Savior, increasing His band of disciples.

Among those who walked with the Master, there were women restored from infirmities and delivered from evil spirits. One of these was Mary Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been cast out (Luke 8.2). It is good to pay heed to those who were freed from demons and healed of diseases, giving them the opportunity to be closer to the Lord. In this way, people’s faith will not grow cold and their problems will not return. Since Jesus was holy, anyone could follow Him; all were welcome (Matthew 11:28-30).

Those delivered from evil works feel grateful for this benefit granted by God and for the chance to see Him work all the time, for this increases the faith of those who were told there was no solution. Christ is the same today; therefore, He does the same works (Hebrews 13.8). He who tastes divine love no longer goes away, but simply allows himself to be led by God in action. Then, little by little, he begins to be used by Him.

There was also Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.  The Lord´s ministry needs people like that, because the costs are enormous, and without significant help, the work fails to reach the lost. Our mission is not to entertain the crowd, as it happens in worldly shows, but to free the captives of the devil! Hallelujah!

God calls and chooses people with favorable conditions and sends them to help, as long as the work is of holiness and in respect to the Lord. Many will come to us to receive the necessary help, but we cannot let sin enter the ministry, nor the devil take us away from the Father´s presence. Be sensitive to what God speaks to you and go out to accomplish the mission. To be chosen by Him is a great blessing!

The harvest is great, but the workers are few (Luke 10.2), but the Lord will raise up those whom He has called to join us. Now, we must have discipline and respect for what He will do; thus, the work will continue. It is thrilling to see the wonders of the Most High happening before our eyes. When He works, our soul is renewed and doors are opened. God is the only Lord of His work! 

Heaven is preparing a work to shake up this world and the lives of people who are one step away from entering hell. They will be healed and delivered from evil, and will join us in seeking the Savior and preaching about Him to those who do not know the difference between being of God and of the devil. The Lord will use us greatly!
