It is amazing how Isaiah, two hundred years before Cyrus was born, prophesied about this Persian monarch, who would rule the world in his days. The prophet even said the name that would be given to him. Cyrus personified Jesus, King of kings, who later liberated mankind from Satan’s empire. In the first year of his reign, this emperor gathered the Israelite leaders in Babylon and ordered the return of the Jews to Jerusalem.
According to Flavius Josephus, a 1st century Jewish historian, by issuing such a decree, Cyrus stated that the people would rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. Thus were Jeremiah’s words about the 70 years of captivity of Jacob’s children in Babylon fulfilled. It is impossible not to be moved by seeing the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Most High. All the Word will be fulfilled!
Leaving the historical part aside, let’s talk about the real Cyrus, of whom this was a symbol: Jesus. The Messiah has come and has already put down the spiritual nations – principalities, powers, princes of darkness of this age, and spiritual hosts of wickedness (Colossians 2.15). We must be fearless, for the kingdom of the Lord is not of this world (John 18.36). Now, we must stand firm in our faith in Christ.
We are kings clothed with the armor of God; we have the authority to do all that the Savior accomplished in His days. Ever since we were baptized in the Holy Spirit, we have been empowered to act like Jesus, delivering those oppressed by the forces of darkness, destroying sickness and disease, giving people the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4.7). We are God’s agents with power!
Before us, the Lord opens the necessary doors; we enter through them and carry out His full will. We don’t need to fear anything at all, because the ability to obtain the resources is within us. In any adverse situation, all we have to do is determine in Jesus’ Name and we will soon see divine power at work. Hell can never stop us from accomplishing God’s work.
When we take on heavenly directions, the doors open before us and taking hold of what the Father gives us, we realize that the work is His alone. The devil is paralyzed in the face of God’s operation. The opportunity to do our part in the Almighty’s project is great! It isn’t good to retreat or to say that conditions are lacking. In fact, He works marvelously, for His people!
We are under the command of the heavenly Cyrus, the King of kings and Lord of lords! Therefore, we will lack nothing at any time, as long as we follow God’s purpose. There is much more in the Lord than we need, but that will only be granted to those He called!
In Christ, with love,

God of open doors! It's good to know that we just have to be faithful to You. Then we will see Your power at work, according to Your command. We truly love You wholeheartedly. Your plan includes us, so we thank You for using us. Thank You, Father!
Your Cyrus has already come and done the work to the full extent. Thus, we don't have to do anything, but be witnesses of Jesus. After all, we have been called and anointed for such a purpose. May we know how to fulfill this honorable mission!
Christ has already slaughtered the nations and given us the authority to continue His ministry. However, now we must only proclaim the Good News. In doing so, we will see Your people receive the beautiful blessings. This is the mystery that was hidden!
