By faith, the Passover was celebrated while still in Egypt, when Israel was sure to leave the land and lordship of Pharaoh. Our Passover is the celebration of our leaving the kingdom of sin and entering the kingdom of the beloved Son of God (Colossians 1.13,14). Faced with this reality, we do not have to serve the devil or pay attention to his temptations. With Christ, we will live free forever. Never underestimate yourself; live freedom to its fullest extent.
The Hebrews were still in that country that enslaved them, but by the promise sent by God, they found that that imprisonment was near its end, so they celebrated the Passover – the passage from captivity to Canaan, the Promised Land. The Heavens have been prepared to receive us one day. The sign that the time will come will be the blowing of the last trumpet – when Christ comes to take us. Then we will go up (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17)!
During millennia, many nations wanted to make the sons of Jacob their slaves, but it was only a matter of time, for when they repented of their errors and there was no iniquity in them – the devil could not make them submit to his whims. Sin is forgiven when we confess it and turn to God; then we are set free. Don’t let sin take over your mortal flesh, but fill yourself with the Spirit (Romans 6.12-14; Ephesians 5.15-21)!
Jesus took us out of the greatest captivity – that of eternal submission to Satan. Therefore, the right to free us from the kingdom of wickedness must be claimed. After all, no power from Hell will make us servants of Satan. The Son of God has won our independence and made us lords over darkness (Luke 10.19). Therefore, there is no way for the evil one to oppress us. You will never again act according to him. Believe!
Today we do not celebrate the exit from Egypt, but the exit from Hell. Thus, the saved will not bend to addictions, sufferings or shame. Because we are new creatures in Christ, the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5.17). We can declare that we are, in fact, children of God. No Christian needs submit to the evil one, but march resolutely to assert his rights in Jesus.
Make an effort not to miss the Holy Supper service in church; after all, on that day you will reaffirm that the empire of darkness no longer controls you and you will celebrate your entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. We should ask like Paul: Where, O death, is your sting? Where, O Hades, is your victory? (1 Corinthians 15.55). If you still suffer the adversary’s attacks, you need to grow in faith, and your deliverance will be real.
According to the Scriptures, we should celebrate Jesus’ victory over the devil until the coming of the Lord (1 Corinthians 11.26). Nothing will take us away from the blessings purchased on the Cross in favor of those who love Christ. Never let yourself be led by the enemy. Know that the Holy Spirit will visit you to confirm your position in the Son of God. Hallelujah!
In Christ, with love,

Lord, our Memorial! You are perfect in all that You do; therefore, we love You and thank You for the blessings received. Never again will we submit to the whims of the evil one. We are free!
We desire to serve and worship You. Thank You for giving us life, and life in abundance. We will lack nothing and will not be bound by sin, pain and other sufferings. It´s so good to be free and to be able to deliver others from the same prison!
Our celebration for You is made every day. We are no longer slaves, nor subject to the same mistakes. We are born again into a living reality, where we will not have the wickedness of Satan. Hallelujah! Amen!
