The Lord’s purposes are beyond our comprehension. As we know, what touches God’s heart the most is the rescue of the lost. When He sent His 12 apostles to a work that had never been done before, He told them that in the house where they entered, they should stay until their departure for another place. Now, He would be the One to open the doors of the homes that were to shelter His disciples. Therefore, they had to wait for a new command.
God knows the devil’s strategies. He knows that Satan would have the disciples move from house to house, but that would make them reprehensible in the eyes of those who would house them. The home that received them would be so blessed by the support given to His disciples that it would never think of dismissing them. Of course, they were not to get into family issues, but solve such people’s problems with divine guidance.
When we follow the guidance from on High, we are not undesirable people to those who receive us with an open heart. If any persecution arises, we must use God’s power and bring the solution for the good of all. Jesus said: For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward (Mark 9:41). The devil’s wrath is against the reward!
In His perfect plan, the Most High touches the hearts of those who have never seen us, and divine love makes them recognize us as servants of the Almighty. Don’t let the enemy harm anyone, for whoever helps us will also be helped by God. The Lord will never fail to open doors for us, if we do His will. He does this so that people can learn to serve Him with joy. He is the True Master!
The woman who spoke to her husband about the prophet Elisha did not know that this servant of God would bless her with a son, even though she was barren, and her husband was old (2 Kings 4:8-17). The Creator has not lost His ability; on the contrary, He can raise up children even from stones to those who have faith (Matthew 3:9). When you think of the Most High, think of the One who has no limits to operate, as He did with Abraham and Sarah when they were advanced in age (Genesis 21:5,6)!
Don’t see your problem with human eyes, but with the Lord’s. Don’t fall for the devil’s talk, who always says there is no way. For God, everything is possible (Matthew 19:26). He calls what does not exist as if it already existed: (as it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believed, God, who gives light to the dead and calls, those things which do not exists as though they did (Romans 4:17). The Lord is faithful and true God!
Those who live from house to house are not right with the Lord, for His plan is infallible. Thus, the disciples should not look for new families to house them, but be content with what was provided for them. The same thing should be done by those who have been saved under a ministry of power. However, some are carried away by luxury and appearances, and the outcome is tragic. Soon the devil is able to infect them with his way of destroying dreams. Pray!
In Christ, with love,

God, Planner of all things! How can we not obey You? Are we to remain in the house that You have opened to receive and shelter us? We were placed there to bring blessings to the members of that family, a total and lasting solution for those who believe in You!
The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us abundant life. May we know how to discern what happens to those who turn their faces against us, for in truth, they are turning against You. Help us, Father!
In Jesus, we have power to bind the devil, to trample on serpents and scorpions, and we are given authority over the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm us. I pray that everyone will be successful in their service to You. In Jesus' Name, may they be blessed!
