Although some in Joshua’s day prayed and saw their days prolonged, the new generation ignored the Lord. Because of this ignorance, problems came back. The return of adversity proves that today, only the new birth is capable of changing the story of people and the country. Without it, no one can resist temptations. Some go to the sins of the flesh; others give themselves over to crime, and many to religious practices contrary to the Word of God. Watch and pray!
When those who have had the experience of salvation die, the problems come back so quickly – if the next generation has not learned about God. It doesn’t matter if the person is your beloved child; nothing will transform the nature that has not been recreated, for without this ability, man accepts the enemy’s offers. Therefore, we must lead our family members to the new birth.
Samson, the hero of God’s people, gave in to Delilah’s temptation, and Delilah caused him to lose his strength (Judges 16). Amnon, one of David’s sons, forced his half-sister into bed with him. When Absalom, her brother, heard about it, he killed Amnon (2 Samuel 13). History records other sad cases, which from time to time were committed by those who were unaware of the Most High. The lack of a recreated nature makes the individual err, as if he had never known the Lord.
The generation that succeeded Joshua and the elders did not know God. Because of this, they failed to serve the Lord properly. Many parents strive for the salvation of their children and achieve such a blessing, but act totally differently with their grandchildren. Christians who have a superficial experience with the Most High will not teach their children and grandchildren about the need to be born again. Thus, evil will attempt to return to the family!
Only those genuinely saved will do the divine work in a manner pleasing to God, because they have crucified the flesh with its lusts (Galatians 5:24). The old creature disregards the devil’s destructive power over her family members and comes to believe that, contrary to what is stated in the Scriptures, he is not so bad. How can this come out of the mouth of a child of God, when Jesus said that Satan is a murderer? (John 8:44).
We have an obligation to take care of those that God gives us, without giving anyone up. Those who come to us need to learn all that we have learned, otherwise the passion of the flesh or the desire to possess what belongs to others will take over. In the end, this person will fall into sin, and the outcome will be: destroyed lives. Do not give rest to your soul until yours are next to Christ.
To speak of the ancient works of the Lord toward Israel is to reveal our history, since all that was as a reminder of who we were and who we have become. People will give an account to God for turning a blind eye to the mistakes of their relatives.
In Christ, with love,

Lord unknown to many! We are ashamed that we have not provided ourselves with the means to deliver the people. The sick, the troubled and the suffering need Your blessings. Help us!
Give us Your Spirit to fill us with gifts that will free so many who are in darkness, living like beggars, scavenging food on the streets, and committing impurity. There is no one like You!
We want to bring Your knowledge to people of all nations, not knowing what they will say, for after hearing Your Word and seeing Your operations, they will desire Your redeeming grace. There is nothing better than doing good to everyone!
