Isaiah continued prophesying to those taken into Babylonian captivity. With gentle and powerful words, God guides them to listen to Him. However, many of them no longer sought God’s refuge, as is the case with many who have stopped loving the Lord. But what will be of them after death? They abandoned their heavenly Father for the sake of a few material possessions, of fleeting joy provided by drink, and other sins of the flesh. Such pleasures will soon come to an end. Think about your salvation!
In the previous verse (v. 3), the Most High had promised to comfort Zion and the desolate places. It was an offer of a fresh start to all, but only those who returned from captivity were able to participate. Similarly, many who distanced themselves from the Lord during the covid-19 pandemic don’t even think of returning to Him. However, there are those who believe in the same God who brought them out of Egypt, who will also deliver them from bondage and restore their fortunes. The Lord is the same today (Hebrews 13.8)!
The promise is to make the wilderness, where they lived as it were Eden, the wonderful garden prepared for man to live in, and their solitude, the garden of God Himself, prepared by Him and for Him. You see, these places are spiritual. Whoever dwells in them will get faith and power to have his projects accomplished. Never be deceived by the evil one; he does not want your happiness. Believe in the Scriptures and live the Truth!
Jesus promised to build His Church, guaranteeing that the gates of Hell will not prevail against it (Matthew 16.18). We are His Church, built upon the Rock, from which we were cut off, and the cavern of the pit where the devil hid us and from which we were dug (Isaiah 51.1). There is no way for the enemy to keep the saved in subjection, because the work has already been completed, and Christ has returned to Heaven to be our Savior and now reigns as the Almighty (Hebrews 1.1-3). Return to the Lord!
In the Church, there is rejoicing, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. We cannot understand how someone can leave the door of salvation and remain in the pit of destruction. Why be sad, when one can have joy? We should live where thanksgiving is sighed in beautiful songs, and not in the midst of cursing and hatred. God will give you consolation that will never end. Enjoy and live abundantly!
The Father’s invitation is: Listen to Me, My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation! We are the Lord’s, and therefore nothing will separate us from Him (Rom 8.35-39). God’s love is in us. All that remains is for you to get right with Christ, and His love will flood your poor, suffering heart with the greatest joys. Answer Him now and be transformed into one who will enjoy eternity without suffering pain, sorrow, death and perdition (Revelation 21.3,4). The light will be established in your life now (John 8.12), so pray and confess your sins to God, and He will forgive you!
Jesus fulfilled the Law (Matthew 5.17), and Hell cannot imprison Him. Therefore, you will be set free as soon as you decide to believe what Christ tells you. Isaiah prophesied this plan of God long before the Jews went into captivity. Regarding the eternal work of full salvation, the Savior has consummated it, fulfilling the prophecies (John 19.28-30; Luke 24.25-27). Now we need to believe and do our part!
In Christ, with love,

Lord of the light of the peoples! We want to heed Your invitation, for we are Your nation. We do not accept to live in darkness, because Your judgment has already been fulfilled. In this, we are more than conquerors through Jesus, who gave Himself to save us!
Help us to incline our ears to You, to enter and live in Your law of liberty. What a beautiful day it is, when we become Your children! The kingdom of the evil one and the demons cannot separate us from Your beautiful and powerful love!
Thank You for cutting us off and taking us from the Rock, which gives us the assurance that nothing will keep us away from You. After all, we are part of Your Son. We were dug out of the pit that is in the eternal cavern, but now we have been found by You. Thus, we will live free forever!
