Then the LORD your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. Deuteronomy 30.5

Moses’ prophecy mentioned a future time, when the Israelites would turn away from God and driven out to the farthest parts under heaven. Probably the prophet did not understand this revelation, but he gave the message. In the same way, many preachers speak of things that those who heard him understood, but they themselves cannot explain how such words came into their mouths. The Holy Spirit always assists us and uses us as the Father wishes. Moses was a useful servant!

Jesus instructed us to speak what is appropriate when facing persecution, when we are brought before religious or governmental authorities: But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit (Mark 13.11). Therefore, let us prepare ourselves to be instruments of the Lord everywhere.

Every convert should soon be taught the doctrine of Christ, especially that of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It’s an honor to be channels to bear witness to the Truth. The priests were amazed to hear Peter as he responded to the threat made to him and John. The religious men asked where he had studied and heard that the old fisherman had never attended school (Acts 4.13). To be with Jesus is so beneficial!

Only he who is filled with the Holy Spirit is able to foresee such things. God’s servant lives in His holy presence and therefore does the divine will. Jesus invites everyone to learn in the best “university” in the universe: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11.29). Learning from the Lord is the best thing you can do in life. Pray and live!

The land that our fathers in faith possessed was not the earthly Canaan, but the heavenly one, to where the Lord promises to take us back. If you are full of problems, and your life seems like a captivity, rejoice, because God will lead you to the place that the fathers in faith lived, thus they did wonders. How did Abraham, with 318 servants born in his house, defeat four kings who had overcome a lot of kingdoms? God was with the patriarch!

Many people allow themselves to be led by temptations, and when they realize, they find themselves dominated by the king of Hell. However, learning from Christ, they will overcome just as our fathers of faith did:  who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens (Hebrews 11.33,34).

God declares that He will do good to you and multiply you more than your fathers. Referring to the authority of His servants to carry out wonders, the Lord Jesus stated: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (John 14.12). Get ready to live!
