In Deuteronomy 1:20-42, Moses tells the Israelites about God’s promise to take them from the oppression of the Egyptians and about the wrong deeds done by people who, despite having witnessed the miracles of the Lord, did not obey the Word and complained against Him.
It is easy to accuse the Israelites, but when we look around we find people who blame God for any mishap they might go through.
Joshua and Caleb belonged to the people of Israel, however they acted differently. Aware of the difficulties they faced, they trusted in the Lord. They were the only ones of that generation to enter the Promised Land.
He who believes in the Lord must not make the same mistakes. When everything leads you to complain about life, do as the psalmist David and declare that your help comes from the Lord (Psalm 121:1-2).
