26/05/2018 - A SURPRISING FAITH

When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Matthew 8:10

There was a captain of the roman army that was nobler than the heirs of the promise. Though that centurion was a stranger, he came near the Lord God in the right way, examining Scriptures and the person of Jesus. What a lesson! Whoever looks to the Master becomes wise and a good handler of the Word; someone who surprises the Lord. He managed to extract from the Most High all that he needed to fulfill his needs.

When the centurion heard that Jesus had entered in the city, he felt that he could expose his problem to Him. Without wasting the opportunity, he followed the path of faith. The encounter with the Lord comes by faith in the Word. If our hearts understand the holy text, we are visited by Christ. The proof is the joy that floods our hearts. Then, if we pray, we will be answered. But before feeling this joy, our prayers do not reach the Lord. 

That captain understood that a simple word could heal his servant. Besides having a faith that surpassed that of all in Israel, he needed to put it into action. When the moment came, he opened his heart to the Master and was answered. The paralysis and the torment upon his servant would stop immediately if the Savior said just one word. He did say it, and the young man was healed. Halleluiah!

When the captain explained what he had learned from the Holy Spirit, Jesus marveled. You must have such a moment with the Son of God by doing what God has told you to do. You may be under the most intense trial. However, when you say what you have learned in the “Holy Spirit’s school”, you surpass everyone else and receive the response from God. There are many people needing you to grow in the faith and assume what is ministered to you. The heavenly Father will honor you!

Do not shy away before people known as spiritually strong, because the Most High has given you the means to solve any problem. Jesus said that He had not seen such a faith not even in Israel, where people were living to study the Scriptures and serve the Almighty. Go and show what you have received from the Master, for He has taught you for a reason. Honor Him with your understanding. Enter in prayer and do this now!

We need to sit at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, where the spiritual food is abundantly served to all. With the coming of Christ to the world, there is no longer any favored nationality, as long as the unbelievers accept the Message. As you learn from God, you become more special than you can imagine. Do not disappoint Him by despising His lesson!

The captain received understanding from High. That is the formula for success. Do not fall in the traps of religions. Only use what the Holy Spirit teaches you when you listen and meditate in the Scriptures. That is how the Biblical heroes did wonders. The Lord’s teachings equip you to be victorious in your battles, even if they may seem the most difficult ones. You will receive according to the measure of your faith!
