The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Deuteronomy 1.6

God will never change His Word, but He will totally fulfill it. Therefore, there is no point in praying for what He has not promised. Now, within the declarations of the Lord, we have what is necessary for us to live well. The secret is to meditate on what awakens our attention in the holy Scriptures. Whoever loves Jesus considers such a biblical message a commandment to be fulfilled with all satisfaction.

The Israelites did not understand that the land conquered from the hands of Sihon and Og, Amorite kings, was not their rest. In the same way, many “Christians” have not yet discovered that they are doing the devil’s will. These people have been genuinely saved, and some baptized in the Holy Spirit, but they have decided to become like the lost, changing the focus of their faith to the cares of life. Jesus compares them to seeds among thorns (Luke 8:14).

The secular education of their children and the acquisition of material goods are not part of God’s guidance. In their vain attempt to “improve” their lives, many even manage to gather riches and give some “comfort” and “security” to their families. But when evil strikes them, they rebel against the Most High, saying that they don’t understand the divine will. They don’t understand why they are not happy here, nor will they be in eternity (Matthew 26:41)!

It is regrettable to see the devil offering the glory of the world to many who are called, prepared and sent to the Lord’s harvest (Luke 4:5-8). At first, they served as an example to those who wanted to be free from the evil forces, but then they began to see reason in their sinful practices. Therefore, they can be sure that the end of their lives will be sad. We cannot look at temptations and examine them, without making the same mistake as Eve – we will sin as well (Genesis 3:6).

Nor is it a good thing to frustrate the Most High. In His foreknowledge, He has planned a happy ending for us in Heaven (1 Corinthians 2:9), and not a handful of material things that delight us. The servants of the holy God cannot be stained by sin, because that is an affront to His eyes. Nothing can take us away from the vision that God has given us and led us to salvation. So, beware; the devil will do everything to divert you from the straight path.

Make the right decision, breaking the ties that bind and dominate your will. Thus, you will not be reproached on the last Day. Your rest is not here, but in the Glory of the Almighty. Why exchange eternal life, full of good things, for a plate of dirty, rotten meat? Nothing is worth your eternal damnation. So, stand firm in the Word and you will be counted as one of God’s people. The divine description will say how far you were born.

Now is the time for you to reconsecrate yourself to the Lord, accepting forgiveness from Him. False happiness on Earth will not dominate you, but the promises of the Most High in His Word. The enemy will fight until the last moment to take you away from eternal joy, but God will fight not to lose you – convincing you of any error. He is the true Father!

In Christ, with love,

God, our Guide! It is wrong to let any success stop our journey toward the good You have promised us. As Abraham did, we must follow Your instructions. In this way we will fulfill Your command to preach the Word to every creature. Wake us up, Father!

Our generation needs to hear the Good News, but we have not done like Jesus, who went everywhere, bringing deliverance to people. The Israelites failed to notice the devil's strategy and stopped to enjoy the wealth of the land of Sihon and Og!

They forgot that Canaan was further away. This has happened to most of Your people, who have become accustomed to human goals, such as the education of their children, home ownership, and other material possessions. We want to follow Your planning!
