The afternoon was coming to an end, and darkness was about to cover that region. They had all gone back to their homes and the disciples were out in the sea. Once could say that in a short time they would reach Bethsaida. The Master was alone on land, in that deserted place. Then He went up the mountain to pray to the Father, for He wanted to seize the opportunity to continue being used by God in such a wonderful way in that place. What about us?
We must be willing to seek the correct way to act and use the authority received from on High. The devil will never get us out of the path of success. If we walk just as Jesus walked, we will be victorious, and things will be easy for us. Only those who are in fellowship with the Almighty can do the same works of the Master (John 14:12). Well worth the price!
Christ was alone on numerous occasions. After being baptized by John the Baptist, He was taken into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. Not even the angels of God were with Him during those days. Only after the Redeemer resisted all the offerings of the deceiver did the angels come and serve Him (Matthew 4:11).
He was among the beasts, but that did not frighten Him. On another occasion, because of His teachings, He was forsaken by all, but he remained steadfast (John 6:66). On the cross, when the Son became sin in our place, the Father forsook Him (Mark 15:34), because our iniquities were upon Him (Isaiah 53).
It was necessary for Jesus to go alone to the Cross to die for us. Then He should go down to Hell and strip Satan of the authority he had stolen from Adam (Genesis 1: 26-28; 1 Peter 19,20; Revelations 1:18). Moreover, on the third day, Jesus ressurected and ascended to Heaven, to sit at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19). He did it all with such mastery!
We have a perfect Savior, who took our place and did so with the dignity that our redemption required. He left us the example so that we also do everything without complaining. When we lead a person to salvation, we must do this with clean hands and the certainty that we are used by the Lord to pluck a life out of darkness and bring it to the Kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13). Halleluiah!
Like the apostle Paul, let us be imitators of Christ (1 Corinthians 11: 1). We have a commitment with the Lord to leave the world and its lusts and become servants of God. May we consecrate ourselves in prayer and in fulfilling the requirements of the Word, so that we may be used by Him. If you can pray until God gives you the victory, fulfilling your share in the New Covenant, than you are a winner! But do not give up! Stay alert and pray!
Seek the Father now. Stop yielding to the desires of the flesh and do the will of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). Thus, you will be used just as Jesus was. The world needs to find people who live the faith in Christ in a glorious way, without leaning to the left or to the right.
In Christ, with love,

Father! How can we believe if we seek to be honored by men? We will not worry about what we will wear or eat. What distresses other people gives us freedom. We are already free of such bonds!
We want to find time to be alone with You, to speak and see Your hand work through us. Yes, its true that You will continue to use us to deliver the sufferers from the clutches of evil forces!
We will do the works that Jesus did, because we have the same tools. If we have the same consecration and assistance that He enjoyed when He was here, then the glory of all things will be Yours. We thank You for keeping us in good communion with You!
