A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”  John 4:7

The Samaritan woman from Sychar went to get water at noon, because since she live a life in sin, she could only go at this hour. In the morning, only married women went to the well. There are many people who are in such great need, but because of some human convention, or rule of the Word, they feel discriminated against and do not join those who enjoy life normally. With Jesus, everything becomes normal.

Jesus proved His ministry of salvation – deliverance from sin, prejudice, and complete healing – by speaking to the Samaritan woman. Because she went for water at noon, she showed that she did not have a righteous life before society and God. Christ was there not to condemn her, but to save her according to Scriptures (Luke 19:10). By doing so, the Lord also guides your life!

The lost must find Jesus urgently. After all, the need to get “water” every day proves that man’s basic problem is never solved. Those who have daily ups and downs, despite being in church for many years, should strive to have a true encounter with the Master. It is not normal for the believer to change moods all the time. The right way to serve God is with joy — complete fulfillment.

Only Jesus has the water that can fulfill man, to the point that he no longer needs to go to the well to get rid of the thirst for justice and be set free. The Savior knows how to start a dialogue that can free us forever from the uncertainties, the conscience that accuses us day and night, the diseases and various evils, leading us to understand His purpose. It is worth talking with the Omniscient!

Christ’s request for some water was only meant to start a conversation with the Samaritan woman, because that soul, though living in sin, was very precious to God. Man cannot imagine how valuable he is in the eyes of the Creator. The fact that he was formed in the image and likeness of the Almighty shows that God had a high plan for him to receive the full knowledge of the Savior.

We need to understand what God wants from us. At first, the conversation can be simple in order to get us thinking and go back to the past. But, in fact, the Lord wants to meet our basic need, not only of the element of two molecules of hydrogen and one of oxygen, which is indispensable for biological, physical and psychic life, but also for spiritual food, which is essential to our own future. Allow the Master to teach you.

Even when you do not understand the divine statements, keep talking to Him, and finally, when you understand the meaning of His words, you will be fulfilled. When you have your true thirst quenched, you will discover how good it is to walk with God and do His will, enjoying the best. Without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15: 5), but with Him we can do whatever He tells us!
