“Although my house is not so with God, Yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure. For this is all my salvation and all my desire; will He not make it increase? 2 Samuel 23: 5

King David identified that his house was not faithful to God, just as he had been. Many people have this same feeling, and this saddens them, because they know that if theirs believed, the Most High would grant them great blessings. Although they like the Lord, they do not love Him as everyone should. If they do not change, they will lose a lot throughout all eternity. May the Master help us to enlighten them as He would like to see them shine (Matthew 5: 14).

Each person has a personality. David recognized how the Lord treated him and remembered how he collaborated with the Most High so that his spirit would be freed from the cares of life, the fascination of riches and the desires of the flesh. He credited the Lord with the glory of the protection received for having been faithful to God. There is no greater position than to be a servant of God!

Although the position of the relatives of this king was different, the Almighty established an everlasting covenant with him: the Savior would come from his lineage. It does not matter if yours will not do as you do; continue to serve the Lord. Do not let anything stop you from walking according to the will of the Father, because you must go to the end. After the hard battles of faith, we will rest in the Most High!

Have fellowship with God to resolve great and small matters in the eyes of men. The promise made to David has not changed for those who believe in the Lord and serve Him. Therefore, in your moments of loneliness, do not curse anyone, even if such a person has been the worst you have ever known. After all, you were ordained and saved.

Understand that your entire process of salvation is in the Lord. He has initiated it and will certainly complete it, as long as you allow Him to guard your life from sin. You have earned the right to belong totally to God when you heard the sweet message of the Gospel and believed in it. Hold on to it with all your strength in order not to lose your salvation!

If your finances improve, do not yield to the temptation of gold, which blinds the understanding of many. Put your pleasure in Him who has no wicked feelings. The Lord will not only keep you safe from the love of money – the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6: 10) – but He will also deliver you from betraying His trust in you. To think that you have the right to “pay back” for something you suffered is an attitude not approved by Scriptures. In it, there is only forgiveness and love, even for those who deserve some punishment.

We are rewarded by the Lord, but the time of eternal reward has not yet come. The infinite justice will come only when Christ returns, when everything is consumed by fire and a new Heaven and new Earth appear. What do you say?

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares

> Today´s Message

Father! The covenant established with David and everyone who confesses Jesus as Savior cannot be changed, because what Your lips have spoken is not changed. Thank You for that certainty!

Your covenant concerns all that has been ordained and it is kept by Your faithfulness and Your love. Although some of us have not understood Your plan, we pray that You make them understand it, because we are certain that we will be rewarded in the coming of the Savior.

Salvation, preservation in times of temptation, and the power to escape the enemy's attempts to subdue and dominate us are guaranteed. That is why our satisfaction is in You. One day, You will come with our reward. Amen!
