02/06/2019 - CONCERNING YOU AND ME

Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: “You know the word which the Lord said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea. Joshua 14:6

The occupation of the land was in progress, and probably Joshua was reluctant to give Caleb’s share, as he had been told. Great men of God often observe certain situations with their human eye, or they give ear to people. Then, suddenly, they make their decisions without the direction of the Holy Spirit. Whoever does this is failing to do what is expected of him. The saved can only have acts of righteousness!

The sons of Judah went to Joshua at Gilgal to claim the fulfillment of what had been commanded by the Lord. He who had been one of the twelve spies and had spoken the truth, because he respected the Word of God, was not receiving his reward. It is good in the eyes of the Most High to fight for your rights when you are being deprived. We cannot remain silent about them, but ask for help to receive them.

When we go somewhere, we should not just visit it, even if we are just on vacation. Our goal is to always bring the knowledge of God and the operations of His Spirit to the lost. On all sides we find people harming others. But with the Lord’s ability, we can help them repair those damages.

Joshua received them, and because he was a servant of the Most High, he must have felt some discomfort in them. Now, nothing can annoy us. When we sense that this will happen, we must pray to the Father, ask Him for guidance and follow Him. Now the Lord’s guidance are in the Scriptures, but we need Him in order to understand and fulfill them. If we walk with God, we will win!

The son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite spoke politely, but firmly, about God’s promise to his life. When the Lord promises us something, we have the right to claim it, because such revelation brings information and power to do as it declares. The Most High never changes His that which He determined; so, even if many years pass by, claim your blessing. To God be all glory!

Caleb tried to remind Joshua that he did not want any favor, but only that the words of the Lord to be fulfilled. Until then, Caleb had not seen them come to fruition.  He knew what God had told Moses at Kadesh-Barnea and so he would not accept any other decision but that of the Most High. We must do behave this way!

According to Caleb, the Lord had spoken of him and Joshua. The first part had happened, for Joshua was the commander of the holy people. But Caleb’s part was missing: to receive Hebron as an inheritance. Revive what you felt from God and you will have it!

In Christ with love,

Faithful God! We miss out on the blessings because we are shy. Your words will never pass, so we must quote them in prayer, trusting that You will confirm them. We come to You now to take hold of what is ours!

In those days the sons of Judah acted correctly: they claimed what was promised to a member of that tribe, Caleb. They spoke politely, clearly, but they certainly would not accept an excuse, not even if it came from an angel!

Because they stood firm in your faith, trusting in the fact that your Word would not be ashamed, something contrary to what You said would absolutely not be accepted. Hebrom would be Caleb´s part, because only he would defeat the giants in that land.. All glory belongs to You!
