And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. Deuteronomy 34.8

Moses was called to Glory and his body was never found (Deuteronomy 34:5,6) Nevertheless,  the people mourned his death for 30 days.  The care that people have for who is a servant of God is justifiable; however, to cry for somebody who is no longer among us will be to no avail. Jesus talked about this, as he answered a man who, when called by Him, asked that first he be allowed to bury his father: Let the dead bury their own dead (Luke 9:60).

Moses was loved, and everybody knew that while he was leading his people, the way he led was a blessing for all, because the Lord would answer every time he cried out.  This probably happened with every servant of the Almighty. But many do not keep watch, and the seed planted in them by the Lord becomes fruitless. Unfortunately we give excessive attention to natural man, and not to men of God (Luke 21:34-36).

The true son of God that assumes the command of his mission must learn to live by faith (Hebrews 10:38), so that the weak and distracted see in him the righteous and unshakable way of serving the Omniscient.  It is easy to see, but we have not given attention to the fact that victories like: titles, goods, applause, recognition, etc… will all remain here.  However we do not learn from Jesus, which is the best part.  Undoubtedly, we have let the devil influence us.

The person that was lifted up by the Lord, but after some time and for whatever reason becomes fascinated by riches, the cares of life or ambitions, is mistaken. Although such choices offer significant improvement for themselves and to their families, in reality, because they are the leaders to their families or churches they end up corrupting the people, forgetting that they will be held accountable on the great Day.  This is a serious matter!

As for those who the Lord has called from this world, the holy people must keep vigil and pray in order to not be led by sentiments against God, because nothing will bring back a person who rests in God.  The dead do not know what happens on Earth (Luke 16:26) and for this reason cannot be helped even by prayers.  Some ceremonies in their honor are beautiful, but they do not produce any divine results.

People who are living in sin – including those who think that adultery is justifiable – do not realize how involved they are with Satan because they are far from the biblical guidance.  If this has happened to you, cry out for divine forgiveness urgently.  Only He can pluck you out of the sin that has imprisoned you. You must simply confess and seek the Lord for His forgiveness and deliverance.

It is time to stop murmuring, crying, moaning, and behaving like the men from other nations.  Do only that which God has taught – everything that brings praise to Him. Everything that brings glory to the Father is beautiful!  The biblical instruction is to forget those things that are behind and reaching forward to those things that are ahead. (Philippians 3:13)

In Christ, with love,

God! Why mourn for someone whom You have removed from our midst, if this will neither help the deceased nor those that mourn?  We have to spend our time seeking You, opening our hearts and speaking of Your love to the lost. Help us to invest our time in the good cause.

We have heard of the hunger of those lost by Truth, and for this we need Your help so as not to execute our mission in favor of our doctrine or religion, because none of this has any value. We have to preach and live Your Word.

The people spent 30 days mourning Moses; meanwhile others died and were born. The same occurs with us.  While we plan a gospel show, precious lives are cut down and sent to perdition. We have to carry out Your commands or we will be condemned.
