21/11/2023 - DAVID’S GREAT JOY

Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the LORD; and King David also rejoiced greatly.      1 Chronicles 29.9

When we obey God, we know that he guides us and guards us. So no evil befalls us and no plague comes to our dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We face times of great tribulation, but when we call on the Name of the Lord, He comes to our rescue, and His power delivers us from the wickedness of the enemy with the utmost assurance. It is good to be part of the Body of Christ and to see the people joyfully coming together and doing the work to which they have been called!

The most important thing at that moment was the satisfaction that filled the hearts of all who voluntarily contributed generously. Then they experienced the joy that comes from the throne of the Most High and is like no other that man feels and seeks. Best of all, the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). With it, we do the work that leads to prosperity in everything we put our hands to. God is always faithful!

An offering can never be mandatory, fot it would be payment for some blessing. All that the Lord gives us is free, wrought by His grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). Therefore, there can never be any obligation to give, except as a polite way of giving thanks for what the Most High has done through faith. In this way, our petitions will reach Him. The heavenly Father will do what is necessary on our behalf as an expression of His great love. Christ paid the price for our redemption!

When we understand that we don’t need penance, promises or sacrifices for God to give us all that Jesus won on the Cross – and so we are blessed by the moving of His Spirit – we are free from the oppressions that separate us from the Lord. The Most High wants our wellness, so we don’t have to ask for gifts, but take by faith what the Scriptures declare is ours (John 15:1-7).

After meditating on the Word, notice that your heart will begin to rejoice. This will happen every time Jesus visits you, for it is written: Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. (John 16.22). When joy comes, the blessing will be available to us, and then, with a simple word, we will be healed!

The Savior goes on to speak of the joy that invades our souls when He visits us: And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you (John 16:23). No one can take it away from us! So stay tuned to this information and when you feel a contentment your soul has never experienced, thank the Father for the blessing He has given you and feel free!

Ask the Father in the Name of Christ is the advice, but the real meaning of the Greek word translated ask is claim. So, believing in the Lord and in possession of joy, step into God’s presence, claiming what you have learned is yours and believe!

In Christ, with love,

Lord of blessing and joy! We cannot let the enemy deceive us with his lies. You and Your Word are the Truth, so we will never believe the devil, but take hold of what belongs to us in You!

Small acts that we do because we listen to You, like giving good offerings to help Your work, bring us an inexplicable pleasure that fills us with joy and the power of Heaven. Therefore, we require Your joy in order to serve You better!

The authorities of Israel, plus King David, delivered a veritable fortune, and this strengthens our faith. Thus, we can believe to perform great operations of Your power. We are the people of Truth, who will never stop fighting. Bless us with Your peace!
