Since Judah made the wise decision to drive the Canaanites out of the Land of Promise, God has considered such a deed done. Whoever believes in the Lord and listens to Him can say that he has the victory, and with that, no one can stand against him. Judah’s union with Simeon, his older brother, pleased the Heavens, which strengthened them for the accomplishment of the divine will. Therefore, there was no way or reason why it could go wrong, as long as the Most High was leading that endeavor (Psalm 127:1). And He was!
The day came when Judah and Simeon were prepared, and so, they set out for “all or nothing”. At times of war, the spirit of warriors has to like that. If they admit the possibility of failure, they enter the battle with only a 50% chance of winning. Now, if we have the Lord’s promise that He will be with us, we cannot doubt whether we will win or lose, because victory is certain. God is a very present Help in trouble (Psalm 46:1)!
Don’t admit to losing even one battle using the Name of Jesus. The Savior has defeated hell and its demons, so evil retreats, because it fears the One who goes before us. God is Light, and the devil and his demons are darkness. How can the enemies overcome us if we have the Almighty helping us? (Romans 8:31). With this reinforcement, go into battle praising the Almighty, certain that you will succeed!
What happened in the battle against the Canaanites was God’s work: Judah and Simeon needed only to trust in the Lord. This was like an encouragement to the other tribes that had yet to take possession of what had been granted to them. Similarly, in our life, there are many things waiting for us, but we have been slow to take hold of them. When the Most High gives us a promise, there is no need to wait any longer, because He has already gone out ahead of us in order to fulfill what was promised.
The surprise of the Lord’s servants was even greater, as the Perizzites rescued the Canaanites and saw that Jacob’s sons were invincible. After all, there was One who was fighting on behalf of His anointed. In the same way, none of the Lord’s enemies will be able to defeat us. The sons of the Most High are more than conquerors in every endeavor (Romans 8:37). Never tremble when facing every adversary that comes against you and the work of God to which He has called you.
Judah and Simeon had the Word from God, which never returns empty to the Lord, so they were victorious. What word does the enemy have, except the one that comes out of his lying mouth? Whenever you face any adversity, go into prayer to seek guidance from Heaven and don’t be afraid to go into battle. The Father will go ahead to guarantee you complete success. United to Him, you will always win!
The great battle took place in Bezek. On one side, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, who had no chance of winning. On the other, Judah and Simeon, heirs of the promise, who had faith in God. Now, those who have faith find the solution, because they have as their Helper – the Author and Finisher of faith (Hebrews 12:1,2). Remember that the enemy’s base is the devil, the liar.

God, our certainty of victory! You chose the sons of Jacob to give the land of Canaan - symbol of our eternal salvation. They had to fight against their enemies in order to win. We have already won the victory purchased by Jesus for the saved!
We must not fear the struggle to free the captives from the devil´s hands. You have already given us everyone who hears Your Word. There will not be a single case in which the devil will prevent this person's salvation, because the battle for the life of mankind has been won by the Savior!
Your will has been done in the four corners of the planet, where people hear Your voice and by believing, are set free from the empire of darkness. You are tremendous in doing Your will, purchasing salvation for all. For this we glorify Your holy name!
